Was this intentionally removed? I had asked on the Steam forum a few weeks ago and the consensus of opinion was that the update expanding Sandbox options was intended to replace it.
I respectfully disagree with this decision, if intentional. I am relatively new to the game and in addition to doing tutorials I use downloaded zoos as a learning aid. This change is impacting the way I can play them. For example, with guest happiness the percentage required for 5 stars varies in difficulty. On easy one needs 80%; medium 85% and hard 90%, according to the in game help menu. I've always enabled guest happiness in Sandbox mode but used the difficulty level to determine which percentage came into play. Now, I can only turn guest happiness on or off and if left on, assume it is at the level in which the zoo was created.
I also have one zoo that was downloaded set up at hard difficulty. It requires trying to turn it around to where it can be profitable but the one thing that truly irks me is the way all the animals are consistently tired of the toys. My preference would be to change the zoo to medium difficulty but am unable to do so. I suppose I could turn off animal welfare but that isn't what I want to do since I'm using it to practice skills. It is that particular zoo that made me realize the option to change difficulty level was no longer there.
The in game help still shows that difficulty levels should be available in all modes, so it occurs to me that perhaps deleting the drop down menu to change the difficulty level may have been unintentional after all. Does anyone know for sure?
TIA for any input. I've tried to adjust to the change but it is bothering me enough that I registered for the forums to do this post, lol. I do appreciate the added Sandbox options, however.
