Can't say for others but for me sandbox (aka creative) mode in any game ends up with the following results:Still hope we eventually get an option to unlock all for sandbox mode, specially since you have to unlock certain things on hard difficulty
Depends on what you want to do offcourse, lots of people just like to build the most beautifull awesome parks with as many differemt dino's but in order for that to work those people are forced into modes they are not remotely interested in, it was a discussion back on reddit and discord with many content creators and they all said the same we would love an unlock all option for just sandbox, if we want more things to do we can always either customize sandbox and make it challenging or play a different modeCan't say for others but for me sandbox (aka creative) mode in any game ends up with the following results:
- i played couple of hours in total
- i never return to the game because there's nothing to do
Either a mod or a saved game from someone that unlocked it all, one way or another I hope. For me PC will be the way to go, tried it on Xbox but after 3 hours doing a challenge on easy mode and finally reaching 5 stars and hardly unlocking anything I decided to just get a refund on Xbox and now I will just wait until I can either download a save with all unlocked or when there is a mod or a trainer or something to unlock it all so I can jump into sandbox mode.I haven't bought the game yet even though it looks great, and this is why. I've never liked having to do campaigns to unlock things. It isn't fun for me. If there was a sandbox mode with everything unlocked (or at least an easier way to unlock everything) then I would have bought the game already. There shouldn't be anything that has to be unlocked by doing hard mode.
I can already see that a mod that unlocks everything from the start is going to be very, very popular.
I like having unlocks in games.
I also enjoy sandboxes.
But at the end of the day this game is a park management sim first.
The playspaces where you can smash all the toys you've collected together however you wish, is the reward after earning it. The unlocks is incentive to get you to actually PLAY the game instead of fooling around in one mode the entire time because they know a lot of people will do just that without seeing anything else. But allowing you to access a simpler version of that sandbox at any time while you earn the new toys.
In my honest opinion, they are doing you a favor by actually making you experience the entire product so you dont waste 60 whole dollars on just 25% of it's total content.
