Each power play group have people that play the other platforms so that point is moot. Let us PPers worry about that stuff.

While I'm not going to say that I speak for all solo players, I should point out that I buy rather a lot of ship kits and skins. And weapon/engine colours, nameplates and IDs.

That is unbelievably false. I don't step foot in open anymore, haven't in a while, will never again. Why is that important? Because I've spent ~140 USD on elite, INCLUDING ship skins... This open only nonsense sure makes me wish I hadn't though...
I think you're off the mark on this one. Doesn't matter what mode one plays in, having one's ship looking cool is always going to be a thing.

FD is making claims, I choose to neither accept nor deny what they put out without further clarification/support. The burden “to put something on the table” is not on me, if you make the claim, it’s on you.
You also apparently ignored the part of my original reply that specifically stated that anyone could believe or disbelieve the FD statement, either was fine by me.
So yes, it was an opinion/personal observation, it wasn’t at any point labeled “THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH”.
The statement made by FD appears not to be definitive; it’s superficial and makes an implication regarding Open. If you choose to believe it you have to take it at “face value” which I reject. As far as my “emotions” on this, I have none; I made a judgment based on past experiences and current observations.
As far as “emotions” are concerned, from the tone and text of your reply, it seems that yours, not mine, are on display.
One last thing, I will continue to express my views, I don’t cotton with censorship.

It was pretty obvious solo players we're the vocal minority in this game.
I love threads like this its when all the special people come out to play. Auguring over an off the cuff remark about who plays in what mode like it makes any of them better for doing it in one or the other. It reminds me of watching toddlers in a sandpit kicking each others castles over.
