I was reminded of the great saying, 'Everything looks like a nail when a hammer is your only tool', in a thread on here the other day. Then just this morning, I read this:

There is an expression in spanish that says "lo ancho del embudo para tí, y para el resto lo estrecho", which translated is more or less "the wide part of the funnel for you and the narrow for the rest of the people".

I love this.

So what are some of the nice sayings or phrases you know?

I'll add a couple more that I like.

If you want to make God laugh, make plans.

One day there was a little bird, overnight it was very cold and the little bird froze to the branch. In the morning sun the branch defrosted a bit and the little bird fell to the ground, still frozen and dying. Along came a bear, 'Oh no' thought the little bird, 'This bear will eat me up'. Instead the bear turned around and pooped on the little bird then wandered off. The poop was warm and the little bird defrosted and felt better, it started to sing. Along came a fox, it dug the little bird out of the poop and ate it.

Sometimes the one who poops on you isn't your enemy...
Sometimes the one who helps you out of the poop isn't your friend...
Sometimes when you're in the poop its best just to keep your mouth shut and stay where you are.
