here is 14 minutes of Star Citizen, on seeing this I now know for Sure that Elite was the one to throw money at. the flight mechanics on this game are, well lets leave that up to you.

Personally I think it looks promising. There is still loads of work to do but anyone sensible would have realised that. Completely different mechanics and feel to Elite.

yes there is, I've known about the thread for some time,

but seeing the game in flight though looks pretty also looks terrible regarding the flight mechanics.

Roberts was using a gamepad for that... not the best control for a flight game.

That said, the flight mechanics don't look bad to me. I'm glad I threw money at both.

Well I wouldn't have seen this if it had been in the other thread I never go to... I love the americanism of the video the woot woots and the crowds... totally different approach from Frontier's quietly quietly approach.

im a SC backer, but the flight mode in this video looks terrible, its just a shame that all the whoop! yeah! American's in the back ground will probably never have heard of ED. I know both games will do well, but SC really needs to step up their game.

hmm, have to say we're lacking a bit in the woot woot whoop whoop. We need to gather our American community members and put them in front of a video of Braben flying backwards with flight assist off.

Well, I'm an American and I've heard of it.

I will completely agree that the unveiling of the dog fight module went poorly. Poor planning, poor presentation. Why no backup server when the first one went down? Etc. Without sitting down at a computer and playing it, though, I'm not about to cast judgement on their flight model. It looks fine to me, but we'll see.
