Scalable Moving Platforms & Expanded Motion Controls

Requesting expanded functionality for moving platforms to support more detailed/customized designs.

Specific feature suggestions:
  • Scalable moving platforms! – allow platforms to be resized for smaller or more intricate builds. (Necessary for true-to-scale animatronics!)
  • Custom motion durations or speeds – enable users to set how long a movement lasts (e.g., a single quarter oscillate stretched to 30 seconds).
  • Additional motion options, including:
    • More rotation options (e.g. 1/8 oscillate)
    • Adjustable height ranges for vertical movement
    • Oscillate and stop — a motion that swings one direction and ends without returning.
    • Customizable pause/delay — allow platforms to pause between motions for a user-defined duration.
  • Multi-action assignment – ability to assign multiple motion types to a single platform.

These additions would offer builders greater control and flexibility when using moving platforms. Some threads have mentioned similar ideas, but the ability to scale platform size is especially important—current platforms are too large to create actual-size props or motion elements that match the scale of in-game guests.

Appreciate all the ongoing updates, Frontier—looking forward to seeing how the game continues to evolve!

They will have to rewrite the parenting hierarchy of platforms to effectively implement all these controls. As it stands now there seems to be a instancing issue or memory leak causing game crashes or massive drops in FPS on complicated animation shows. I believe it has to do with rewriting Global coordinates of individual animation platforms. When groups or platforms are created and shared on the workshop. Ether way they will have to look into this issue and resolve it before adding in more options that will cause more issues. ;)

A lot of options for moving platforms were suggested months ago.

Frontier brought the moving platforms to PC2, but the huge potential is trapped in minimal options to use them the way they are now...

Just like many other aspects of the game. Huge potential, bad dev team not turning that potential into reality. That was literally my first thought on the first day of release: „where can i set it to move to the right and stay there for x amount of seconds?“
Again, it appears as nobody at frontier even plays their own game

the solution is to get every player one bored for this to be implemented. It cost money to develop games. They will only add or fix what the mass of there player base wants. If only 1 or 2 people are asking for this. It will never be implemented. So go out there and start engaging with other players to help in the mass request for this to be improved. ;)

I've requested motion platforms since PC1. Where have you guys been? LOL
