Scamming in Franchise mode

And oen of the reason for that is, that people stopped playing franchise because it isn't really a community expierience and because people are relaseing to the wild a lot, for several reason. One is that the putting the animals up for sale is rather time consuming, another is that some players don't like CC farming (buying animals, reselling them).

It is not designed to be a community experience. If it was there'd be ways to interact with other people and their zoos. The point of franchise is to have your own franchise with your own multiple connected zoos. This is a single player game with the very limited "multiplayer" feature of being able to buy animals from others. It is not the only way to get animals as frontier refreshes the market very often with animals. It is a benefit overall cause you can get higher quality animals as well as albinos if you like.

Basically my point is this idea of "community" within the game itself is a facade that people need to let go of. The actual community is out of game in forums and workshop.

To me, that's one of my biggest issues with the Franchise market.
I really want to sell more, but don't want to spend that much time in the market.

I would love to sell my golden animals on the market.. but i'm (almost) not doing it because i have WAY TO many baby's (lots of animals, lol) and i'm not gonna put every baby in my tradecenter (over a 100) and thus not being able to buy other animals because the lack of space :( I sell some, but most of the (mostly) golden baby's are released. I realy hope they just make the tradecenter capacaty unlimmited, i'm even willing to buy the space with CC 😂

Also the 1 hour timer is a problem (especially for people who play in different timezones when there are just few people who play), this should be at least 24 hours.

Then they shouldn't have market it as a "working together" expierience.
I agree though, that in its current form, franchise is not a community expierience nor will it ever be.

My Experience so far with the franchise animal market was just terrible. Laggy menus, Buttons dont work until you click the very top line of the button, Animals getting bought straight away just to flood market with expensive animals. I remember one time there was a Challenge for breeding a certain animal. I went to the franchise market and there was only about 5 animals, all with bad stats and all overpriced at 10k cc. I just dont understand how this should be fun at all if its clearly not working properly and there is serious balancing issues (seriously who thought it was a good idea to leave it so players can buy animals and then resell them again?)

(seriously who thought it was a good idea to leave it so players can buy animals and then resell them again?)

At least they changed it so that players can't buy Frontier animals and then resell them again. That was a big problem with a few previous challenges.
I think you should be able to resell animals you buy from other players. I have bought animals a few times and then realised that I don't need then and so I sold them again, but i do think they should put some kind of cap on it. For example, that you can't resell it for higher than you bought it for or something similar. Because it's pretty annoying seeing animals you posted for a good price beeing put up again a few sec later for thousands of cc

TBH I don't see why it's a problem that people buy and resell for whatever price, lower or higher. You guys do know that it's perfectly normal IRL as well, right? Someone sells something for whatever they want for it, they're happy with it and once it's sold it's none of their business anymore what happens to it, whether the buyer keeps or resells it. The buyer is happy as well 'cause they got something they wanted for what they believe is a good price and if they decide to resell it for a profit or not, then that's their choise to make. And if they decide to resell for a rediculous price that doesn't mean it'll actually sell for the price they want because in the end it depends on the buyer again whether or not they're willing/happy to pay so much for it.

While I was still playing I always sold popular animals for cheap and I bet some of them got resold as well and that's fine by me because I'm happy with the price I got for them and I made someone else happy in turn, be it because they got a good animal for their zoo for a really good price or because they could make some money off it as well. Now, if you're mad because you sold your animal and then realize that you could've made more 'cause you found out someone's reselling it for double of what you got, well that's your problem for not checking the market first and not the buyers. (Not saying that this is how people in here think but I did see stuff along those lines around the net so I included it)

So yeah, I don't really see what all the fuss regarding the whole buy and resell thing is about (same goes for the supply/demand thing...yes, rare, popular stuff is usually high in demand and therefore more expensive be it ingame or IRL) and if you don't wanna deal with it anymore you can always play challange mode.

Ye I guess you are right. It's just that it feels a bit disheartening when you try to help out by putting alot of cheap animals on the market, just to see them beeing resold for 10k cc.
This. And behaviour like this is even more against the community and conservation thinking than the whole system is anyway.
People have different playstyles. Some like to play as realistic as possible. For them, buying and reselling right away is a no-go.
Other people like playing ebay on the game and yes, if that's your playstyle you don't care if someone resells what you worked for or not.

well if you want to play that way i have no problem at all, everyone has his own playstyle and taste. But for the players that dont like to be "fooled" by having to buy animals for 10k cc i think there should be some kind of message telling me the animal is beeing resold or something like that. if you are buying something, anything, i bet you look first to find where the cheapest prices are. Imagine trying to find a desk for 100$ because you know thats normally the price. Now you only find sellers selling it for 5k $, wouldnt you somehow feel kinda played, fooled?

that depends on the supply and demands... if there is few supply but high demands, the prices go up, like in real life..

and it is already way to easy to gain cc in this game, so when you play the game in a smart way you gain cc so quickly that you don't even mind buying 5k or 10k animals because you have to much to spend, lol :D 😂

Has nothing to do with supply and demand. That's a completely different discussion.
This is only about people, who take advantage of people offering cheap good animals for other people to enjoy (and to earn CC from their offspring)

And I think it's pretty obvious that the cheap animals are meant for people with almost no CC and/or people just starting out. If you have a lot of CC and don't know how to spend it, buy the expensive ones.

Yes, this is exactly what I ment.
When i first started playing franchise I had a really hard time making CC and could basicly only get animals like warthogs, ostriches and peafowls. Then one day I found an Indian Elephant for 1CC! And I managed to get it. I still remember how happy it made me (I still have that Elephant in one of my zoo)
Now that I have played Franchise for months and months and have millions of CC, I'd like to help other players feel that joy of finding an animal in the market that they could otherwise never afford.

And it's not only about helping brand new franchise players. Alot of animals are pretty rare (the african buffalo is a prime example). When I first started my breeding program in franchise the African buffalo was one of the animals I started with. And since they were so rare I wanted to help so I posted alot of decently good males on the market for about 500-1k cc. But I soon stopped as I got extremly annoyed that greedy people who didn't even want them just bought them and resold them for 10k CC each.

I have started to sell animals on the market again after just releasing them for a long time, as I do want to keep the market healthy. And my solution now is to just flood the market with good animals for 1CC each after I finish a breeding program and then just hope that at least a few of them goes to people who actually want/need them in their zoo's.

For the love of god, please address this problem. It was the main reason for me to switch to sandbox. People shouldn't be able to sell animals they buy instantly or there should be a note for the next buyer. Such scamming messes up market prices for normal animals too. Those insane prices determine the overall average.

Can all of us in this good part of the community not just agree to just always sell an animal at the recommended price? That's what I always do to make things fair and keep the market going. I usually don't sell animals without at least bronze however, I release those to the wild instead. Let the haters and scammers be scammers and do your best to the community as a whole instead.

Why shoot ourselves in the foot? As someone above said, this isn't a problem such as just some perception of something that goes against what some people would do. It is a market, this is part of a market.

The 1 hour time limit actually prevents any sort of issue as a result. The animals are not on the market long enough to influence the price. I will always sell my animals for whatever they are currently going for that hour. If there are only 10k ones list then they are going up for 10k. If there are only cheap ones listed I will not sell and check later. There is already a limit (10k) on what they can be sold at, and it isn't a ridiculous number like 100k. There are already checks in place to prevent actual issues.

Well.. That is the game... Like frontier said: work your way up!

I started also with those animals and animals for cash.. Then i had enough to buy some more expensive ones to gain more cc and so on till i have now almost 2.5miljon ;) it is so easy and if you play the game as intended there is no problem at all.. The problem is that people are impatient and want certain animals right away, but then franchise just isnt the right mode for you if you dont want to work your way up. But dont expect others to change their playstyle so others can have rare or expensive animals without any effort... What is the fun of this game if there is no challenge on working your way up???

The market is fine as it is and if someone doenst like a price.. Well.. Dont buy it and wait for an other one.. :D Frontier (and lots of other people) puts them up for cheap every few minutes so you can always buy cheap ones with a little patience

Any period of time is enough to influence market prices. People set prices based on the already existing prices on the market. I remember having to change my prices halfway into that one hour because of people changing their prices.
Plus you can put your animals up as many times as you want. You aren't limited to that one hour.
