I'm confused. In the top 3 pictures it looks like you are closer to the building in the 3rd picture. Is the scope magnifying things peripheral to the actual optics mounted on the gun? If so that's cheesy as F#&&.
I never moved position for each set of shots. The scope mod basically zooms in the whole screen for you, and not only the viewer inside tre scope itself. So you get artificially closer, without moving positions.
If that's how it works, you should just get yourself some nice iron sights and strap that voodoo tube someplace out of the way on the butstock. At least then you get a clear view downrange! No need to look through the scope to achieve magnification? Might as well not then.Yes. The scope mod magnifies the whole screen. Thru the scope and outside the scope. Wonderful technology!
I think it's just a practical optimization to avoid rendering the same scene twice, that takes a lot less dev effort and has less framerate impact.I'm confused. Yeah, I'm not sure rendering the same scene twice is a good idea at the moment! Really you want to get rid of the outside bit altogether, but I suspect it's done this way because otherwise it would expose how LODs aren't taking into account focal length. Maybe.I think it's just a practical optimization to avoid rendering the same scene twice, that takes a lot less dev effort and has less framerate impact.
More like engineering the scope actually means engineering the faceshield of your helmet... but it only works when you hold the right gun. Still preposterous.Ahahaha, so your character just puts their face closer to their scope if you have an "engineered" scope
That is trash.
Poor guys at FDev don't seem to play many shooters.
Mr Trollymcplayedoutjokeson, go troll the forum for Apex Legends and a multitude of other FPS games as a lot of others do exactly the same thing, or blur around the scope, or just use a overlay screen to hide it.I'm confused. Thank you for sharing your findings. Really helpful to see the side by side comparisons.I never moved position for each set of shots. The scope mod basically zooms in the whole screen for you, and not only the viewer inside tre scope itself. So you get artificially closer, without moving positions.
Yes, it does reduce the spread, and makes the Intimidator probably the best weapon in ED. I tested it before update 11. I still have to test it again post update 11. I'll report back here when I do so. Take care.Have you tested the Manticore Intimidator (shotgun) with and without the scope?
I've heard that the pellet spread may be affected by the scope mod, but also that it may have been changed by fdev recently?
Thank you sir ! Very helpful. Have you any plans on further weapon upgrade videos / data collection?Yes, it does reduce the spread, and makes the Intimidator probably the best weapon in ED.
