As for awareness - I stick to what I said - ask most people what the EU is, what does it do, who's accountable, which parts of the EU are run by people who don't get directly voted into their office by voters, and so on and so forth, and you won't get a comprehensive answer.

You might know the answers to those questions, don't assume everyone else does

Hmmm. That's completely misrepresenting what I have said. In no way have I said "people who don't share my view of the EU simply don't know what it is, and are conflating it with Europe in general."

And again, I have not mentioned or even implied either "stupidity" or "stupid" - only you have typed those words (up until this point, and only to reply to what you have said).

There is a difference between "being stupid", and simply not having all the information necessary in order to make an informed decision in a referendum - and I am talking about the latter, not the former.
