From my latest exploration trip:
First gas giant in the system
Its icy moons
A ringed ice giant the size of 10 earths
Approaching the second gas giant
Its beautiful ice rings
I love its dark blue and white cloud layers
It looks even prettier from down here
The "Queen Eleonora II" floating among the ice chunks...
Exploring for His Majesty, the Emperor.
Spectacular reflections on the ring
The first giant's blue brother
Entering orbit
One of its nicer looking moons
Far away, on the edge of the star system, the light of the twin Tauri stars barely reaches the dead outer planets...

Back at New Yembo, the Unity starport is still under construction. Rotation of the Orbis cylinder has been stopped to give construction workers easier access to the hull panels. The gigantic hyperspace module has been shipped back to Yembo and replaced with scaffolding for solar panels and the first spokes of a habitational ring.
Construction is progressing nicely:
The hull plating is removed at some spots to allow access for construction workers and robots.
The entrance has the new starport name already displayed on the exterior.
"Under Construction"
Blue lights flashing and flickering among the open structures indicate the use of plasma blowtorches by worker drones and zero G construction workers.
You can see the scaffolding and the beginnings of a habitational ring, as well as the first solar panels up and running.
More flickering blowtorch lights among the module structures.
The turquoise giant star of New Yembo and the terraformable planet in the background.
The "Queen Eleonora II" safely docked at Unity starport.
Shipyard and Outfitting are still not up and running. Neither does Unity have a bulletin board yet, as population is still very low. Only the construction workers and their families.
There is, however, a commodity market, and a local security office has already been established.
Two of the local factions have gone to Civil War against each other. There is a high intensity conflict zone right above the terraformable planet that Unity is orbiting. Additional conflict zones have sparked all around the inner planets.
The system contains no less that 11 ringed planets with pristine reserves and dozens of active extraction sites, as well as 4 asteroid belts.
This makes it not only a miner's, but also a pirate's and consequentially a bounty hunter's paradise. Combat pilots get plenty of action around here. The nearest high tech system with a large population is Yembo, more than 200 ly away. So if you want to hunt here, bring your own gear as you won't be able to replace anything on site, only repairs and ammunition are available.
