screenshot problems

ok .. so, i know there was a change along time ago to posting screens on the forums .. i have some screens for bug reports as well to share in the forums


im not using steam anymore and i cant figure out what/why i cant post a full screen anymore

im now using the geforce for screenshots..

but, i get a little white box ..

my original screens are:

1920x1080 and anywhere from 1MB to 3MB and they are .png

i even changed the screen below to 1920x1080 978kb .jpg

so, what the max limits for screens?

so i dont get a white box when trying to post to the forums!

Have you tried pressing "F10" by any chance? Try pressing "F10" then check your computer's Pictures folder. A surprise will be waiting for you, under Frontier Developments. ;)

You can then upload these to imgur or any other screenshot website that will compress the heck out of them.

So OP, you are talking about posting screens to the actual forum?


That got disabled a while ago, the server loads were too much.


Instead you need to upload to a hosting site like imgur or postimg.

When you click on the image icon above whilst posting, From URL and copy the link across.

i see people posting 1080 screens .. so what the problem or what am i doing wrong?

Hover over the image on imgur, in the v dropdown choose Get Share Links, then choose [h=3]BBCode (Forums) and Copy - that will work.

(this forum copying styles along with content :( )[/h]

I do the folowing :-
right click your imgur image and select open image in new window.
put that windows link in the
.

ye .. i was using the insert image tool on this forum .. instead of direct link ... think i got it figured out now .. thanks again!

Ok, two ways...

The icon at the top of the bar when posting, has got a tree in a frame, click that and copy URL into it.

or

Use closed brackets
, paste url in between the brackets.

*Edit..seems you are sorted now. :cool:

By the way... is that a smaller version of the circular planetary base?
That is completely new to me. I only encountered the large ones.
I had no idea this size was in the Elite universe.

honestly idk, this size base is a normal sight for me .. is there a bigger version of this base?

and yes fennster .. i was selecting the wrong link in imgur as well then using the link tool here in the forums which i did not need to do .. thanks for help/info!
