But they would be controlling half the galaxy right now.

1600 players (.32% of 50,000) can't even hold on to a few systems under attack by a faction known for PvP and not BGS.

Press X to doubt that whole controlling half the galaxy by now thing.

first step: understand the only way to make salt for carebear is to ruin bgs doing pve and not killing random player in cg. make griefing dangerous again.

congratulations to the Sleeping dog club for playing in open to prove that undermining a player group in open is no different to undermining a player group in private or solo.

this latest thing that the Sleeping dog club has announced is just another blip in the history of blips that our community has come across, we are very flattered that the sleeping dog club with its new members have decided to play Elite as a PvE game just as we have for the past few years.

here is a suggestion stop trying to attack an idea(PvE) because as history has shown you cant win, and saying that private groups are undermining open is just nonsense.

Then why did your boys complain about it and give it up?

It makes perfect sense with all the steam rolling youve been doing to other factions.

But when the shoe is on the other foot you have the audacity to complain?

ED has little to no narrative content. SDC is creating some. Even if it isn’t my story, I applaud them. Give ‘er hell, guys!

Please do. Mobius didn't fight SDC. I was the architect behind that. My nephew, AKA Antifed, was tired of hearing about SDC's shenanigans against helpless players. He didn't know what to do, but wanted to do something.

SDC had nurtured their minor faction back then and expanded it. They didn't spend a tremendous amount of effort on it, but there were those who worked it and it was important to them.

I found the SDC minor faction in Wolfberg, told him about it and how to defeat them. I also advised him along the way when he had questions.

I encouraged him to gather support and take them out in PG, solo and open. Any mode that was comfortable. He did so, and garnered the help of a large group of strangers, all with a common purpose. SDC was reduced from an expanding PMF to one that was barely alive and kicked out of its home system.

His thread was closed due to folks on all sides coming in with insults and off topic posts. But the operation was well under way. Another thread was started by someone else to continue it.

It's an old operation and a lot of misinformation has been thrown around. Water under the bridge and no need to make it more than it was. But those of us who were there know the truth. It wasn't Mobius.

So you have 50,000 members in Mobius that don't couldn't give a damn about Mobius lol

Also, I'd hate to break it to you, but I don't think those dogs are sleeping anymore, I think they're back smiling again. :D

How about the splinter group that left MCRN and other parts of mobius to attack PA because you didnt want trouble within your own group? Or did you think we didnt know about that either?

Please DO educate us on how you think that's the case - Unlike HP Mobius doesn't pretend so wear some mantle of "Overlord" or whatever he calls himself these days.

SDC might consider they have "won" a minor victory (and opinions vary), but will it change the game fundamentally? Nope, for one simple reason, there are more players who want nothing to do with OPEN and it's SDC type inhabitants, than there are players in OPEN, by many many orders of magnitude.

and the latest actions of SDC have reinforced that belief for many.

Well the player factions are connected through him. ANd they said they dont undermine open from private and solo.

When my group and I have literally fought against them for almost a year now.

If anyone is going to know. Its me son.

Indeed - and that was one of the most interesting aspects of the whole thing. It was complete chaos! There were groups, there were soloists, there were complete randoms and a whole lot of lulz. There were also, as I recall, some shenanigans :D

I don't think any of our group even noticed something had happened. I still don't know what system they undermined. that's how much we care, I am only responding because the Sleeping dog club wanted to get noticed again by playing the game the way our group has always played the game.

They have also proven that by undermining a private groups player faction in open shows that the BGS can be affected in any chosen mode and as such have also shown that private/solo players have zero effect on how the BGS is affected by such players.

In the end everything is just player groups.

Some groups tend to think they are better than others for arbitrary reasons.

So basically business as usual for the human race.

But seriously yeah Mobius has a PMF most of Mobius doesnt seem to care about.
