Well Im glad you've seen the entire film and been able to tell us that, it will save me sitting down and watching it with everyone else when its released...........
It's really funny you should say that because I would have agreed entirely except ... a 40 something friend of mine who'd never beeen a big Star Wars fan, recently watched the entire series with his 7 and 9 year old daughters and guess which was their favourite? Yup ... Revenge Of The Sith!

and tell us, how many downed star destroyers, or anything crashed in to deserts have you seen to compare the realism?
it is a concern though about the CGI. the art of CGI is to not do too much. its should be used only where necessary, much of what is done in CGI used to be done by matte painters, CGI is just cheaper and bigger. trick is not to allow it to be come too big as you are effectively unlimited, scenes based around CGI environments "because you can" are the big worry.

Yes, the giveaway is the rating of PG, so you know. It's also why they licensed toys and games aimed at children with their licensing.

I've watched this trailer literally hundreds of times. It's just one of the best trailers I've ever seen for anything ever. I wasn't quite sold on the new stormtroopers but ever since I saw them on stage at that Star Wars panel they've started to creep me out a little.
Still amazed that the new droid BB-8 is a real robot that actually exists and rolls around and is adorable...

Lord of the Rings was PG. It (like SW) was aimed at all audiences.

I loved that kids move, Alien. The bit where it bursts out of John Hurts stomach had a very Disney like quality to it.

I don't remember was alien pg? My kids liked all the star wars and lord of the rings movies and read all JRRTs books too. My oldest liked Alien too.
