Hardware & Technical Secondary Controller Devices - Saitek Pro Flight Switch Panel

You can bind inputs from anything that registers as a USB HID joystick, keyboard, or mouse. (In case of Saitek, best without installing their drivers…)

A good number of functions are not well usable with toggle switches though and would require button presses (momentary switches) instead.

I have that switch panel myself. Although it interfaces nicely and can be assigned in ED, as already mentioned most of the functions like landing gear need a momentary contact like a key or push button. I wish they would make it toggle like some of the other functions. I got something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BBJ-SimRa...on-Button-Switch-Box-Red-Carbon-/192096146590 which behaves like a standard multi button HID controller (joystick). It's easy to label the buttons with a dymo. He makes a few different ones. Mine is slightly different with two toggle switches on the end also.

Thank you, this answers the primary question about multiple devices: ED should be able to map inputs from any number of distinct standard USB HID "Game Controller" devices from windows.

So with the Saitek when a switch is flipped, it would function as if a key was continually being depressed, which would (I assume) result in repeatedly toggling the item, for example "Landing Gear". I presume all of the switches on the Saitek device are latch (not momentary)?

Unfortunate, as it looks really cool, but that does mean that it wouldn't function very well in this context.

As far as I remember, yes they are all latching. Some settings in ED are toggle. Just wish there was more.
