Seems Very Quiet Around Here

Or you could read it: "not enough game" for some people (the usual glass-half-empty moaners), or even "enough game" for others (glass-half-full, happy, well-adjusted folk). 😃

Whether there is enough game or not is subjective and one person's opinion does not change that of another. 'well adjusted' implies that others are not and is just derogatory towards anyone that holds a view different from you.

What we do have is a bunch of people who all like the game or want to like it, some of whom have raised issues. Some of those issues are unfounded, some are not.

Then we have a bunch of people who appear happy with the game and unhappy that others are not. Just play the game if you are happy with it, or play the parts you are still happy with. There is no need to be insulting, condescending or derogatory at all.

Not even to those who raised issues that are unfounded?

I suppose the runners up have to go somewhere :D.

Probably lack their own forum like NMS, although In NMS's case you really can't blame them for that.
According to Steam Charts, ED is the runner up to SE :p

Now as for No Man's (playing this game) Sky.....

I just had a look at their website and SE is steam sale only, so those numbers are well wonky.

I'm also not overly impressed by the advertising tagline "now with planets" sounds like a futurama parody or something from goat simulator.

Even the most ardent fans of all the lesser space games admit ED has the best flight model by far, I'd go so far as to describe it as the benchmark we judge the others by. If we do get space-feet as the 2020 DLC I'm expecting FDEV to be the best at that as well.

I've been gone, like completely gone, for some time now.

How is the game? Is that quiet too, or just here?
i did the same, and just returned yesterday - and scared the hell out of myself, everything was different.

apparently when i left previously, i was in the middle of bringing home a new bare-bones ship and (iirc) one too many CTDs caused me to just log out there and then, in the middle of open space. now i need to figure out the new UI and fix my missing keybinds before i can go home and dock...

You do realise that you are taking all the fun out of being on the forum?!

All the fun?

A random observation...

Back in August/September I was doing a fair bit of mining.
I found that I had to use EDDB, or whatever, to establish the best place to sell VO's/Painite between runs.
Stations that offered the best prices would change on an almost hourly basis.

Just had another couple of sessions of mining last night, and again this morning, and I see that the same stations are offering the best prices for 24 hours or more.

I wonder if that's 'cos FDev have twiddled something or because mining isn't anywhere near as popular as it was a couple of months ago?
