Hi, How can there be an FPS increase if launching ED through oculus home? The game is still the same?!?!?

I'm not 100% sure, but I've read others say that launching games through steam for the rift adds another layer of processing, and you can't take advantage of ASW.

That info could be wrong and I may just be experiencing a placebo effect. But I figured it couldn't hurt to suggest it.

The nice thing about buying and installing from Frontier is if you want to move the game to another drive (c: to d: say) you can just move the EDLaunch folder, change the shortcut's path and launch, login anew and your done. No re-install and no being tied to either the Steam or Oculus software directory choice.
 
Well you can move an oculus game directory.
But it will involve having to symbolically link the old directory to new locations.

I dont really recommend it.
