Patch Notes September Update - Downtime and Patch Notes

Sorry all but very boring!! Cosmetic changes and bug fixes (with exception to Nuwbe stuff), no real advances in game core to get excited about......back to doing that I was doing...

With so little bugfixes and probably new ones being intruduced they sure know how to get rid of long time players, I doubt if I'm the only one getting tired of this.
Everytime an update arrives I hope a substantial number of bugs gets fixed and everytime I'm being disappointed, why even bother reporting bugs any longer, they're being ignored anyway.

Sheesh Fdev!!
They should create a specialized service in bug fixes.

SRV
  • Fixed an issue where the SRVs weapon were firing slightly offset when used from the driver's seat
Probably not a concern for everyone but anything to make SRV driving better is a definite win for me.

Hang on, my Scarab only has a driver seat. Are you guys all driving around in your new space limos and nobody told me?

(I assume that means as opposed to the turret view. ;) )

Well, I'm hoping that a positive response to them looking at anything SRV related might go some way to them doing more later on.

If I am in open play doing powerplay and BGS, I can just block everyone from that faction and effectively play solo but in open.
Its abuse-able weather you think so or not, a block should be the social side NOT a way to avoid death in an online game.

and if they are useing a exploit that what the report function does.
And you can block all of their faction too, to even things up. Simples.

Having played other games with similar prompts I think what will actually happen is 99% will just not notice them most of the time. Sadly 1% will decide to be annoyed on principle. If the prompts do stay switched on there might be an update in the December patch to switch them off 🤷‍♀️
You think that happens out of principle? Button prompts annoy me in any game that tries to be immersive otherwise. Nothing kicks me out of an atmospheric horror game, like a prompt saying something like "Press X to heal yourself" or something like that.
Elite is that atmospheric space game that simulates space flight in a pretty cool way, and button prompts kick me right out of my cockpit and back into my living room.
