Patch Notes September Update - Downtime and Patch Notes

So my big question is:
Of all those original folks who figured out the in-game mechanics and did there best to base it on real-wold observations and theories and had the vision and ambition to make the game what it is.. Are any of them still working at Frontier?

Yes, but they moved across to Jurassic Park and Planet Zoo and Whatevercomesnext

If it isn't going again within an hour I'm going to lose over 8 million credits when my delivery job expires.

Would have been nice if they had let us know in-game (and in a way we don't have to search for it)that this was due today - for those of us who prefer to play rather than hang out in the forums. If they can let us know via the countdown of the last hour with in-game messages then surely they can let us know for the 24 hours prior, say once an hour, when it's going to mean no play for so many hours. Would never have taken on the job.

Wow I can't believe it is taking so long for such a minor update.. Can't imagine how long it will take when the major one arrives in Q4 2020.

Minor in terms of content doesn't mean minor in terms of effort.

But probably more likely, this change involves player money. Its one thing to have people raging on the forums because of a bug in gameplay. Imagine the rage over having made a purchase and not getting what you paid for.

C'mon WIll (and Frontier) Really? If anything.. the only thing blocking should apply to is comms if players are verbally harassing other players. How are Pvp'ers and those of us who play in Open mode in Powerplay supposed to find haulers or UM'ers or anyone to try and stop them if they decide all they have to do is "block" people to prevent instancing?

Its an abuse of the feature if people decide to use it in this manner (and they have, trust me).
I like the ability to be able to block griefers and ganking players, pvp is all well and good, but you know how many "PvP"'ers don't move on after they kill you, choosing instead to grief you every time you leave the station. Blame them, not the people also trying to enjoy the game they bought.
