Sequel Packs

The Arid Animal Pack has given me a bit of hope. It's basically a sequel pack to the Africa Pack with its focus on African desert animals. Do you all think that this could inspire the fine folks at Frontier to do similar sequel packs to existing Scenery or Animal Packs? It doesn't have to be called "[Name] Pack Part II." They can just give it a different title. I'd prefer if it'd be exclusively animal packs though.
Here are some examples of sequel pack theme ideas:
Arctic Pack - Tundra Animal Pack
South America Pack - Amazon Animal Pack, Andean Animal Pack
Australia Pack - Oceania Animal Pack, Outback Animal Pack
Aquatic Pack - Marine Animal Pack
Africa Pack - Safari Animal Pack
Conservation Pack - Endangered Animal Pack

What are your thoughts?

Well we kinda already got some sequels.
Tropical gave the scenery that was missing in the SEA animal pack.
And arid added a whole bunch of animals to go alongside with the north african desert them of the africa pack. Those two a definetly the biggest for me, but alot of packs do compliment others to some extend.

Some other ideas:

Amazon animal pack - SA: definetly the most obvious one, aswell as my favorite.

Swamp pack - Wetlands: provide scenery for the Wetlands animals like stilt cabins, a mossy wood set, small boats and stuff. Could add animals like shoebills, marshdeer, collared mangabey monkeys

Urban pack - multiple : general city scenery like cars, street signs etc. Would go great with mainly the twilight pack but also a couple others.
Could add animals like grey langurs, brushtail possum, some kind of waterfowl, wild boar/blackbear mabye

Urban pack
I like your idea!
Urban Animal Pack
  • Grey Langur
  • Mallard Duck
  • Wild Boar
  • American Black Bear
  • Coyote
  • Virginia Opossum
  • Prevost's Squirrel
  • Pigeons and/or Doves (WE)
Tundra Animal Pack (I'll add alpine tundra animals as well)
  • Musk Ox
  • Wolverine
  • Walrus
  • Domestic Yak
  • Mountain Goat
  • Mouflon
  • Sichuan Takin
  • Game Birds (WE) Rock Ptarmigan would go with the DLC, others wouldn't necessarily
Safari Pack
  • Nilgai
  • North American Elk
  • Bat-eared Fox OR a Jackal
  • Secretary Bird OR Grey-crowned Crane
  • idk
For the safari pack I think it would be cool if Frontier added animals people could see "on safari" worldwide. For example, elk are seen in Yellowstone!

Great ideas. I wasn't thinking of scenery packs, but now that I am I'd be up for a North American Scenery pack - called it a Prairie or Plains pack. Theme could be the American Wild West or Prairie type of setting. I'm not sure on the exhibit but the habitat animals are below:

Big Horn Sheep
Coyote
American Black Bear - though more common in associated with mountains and Woodlands, their range extends into the Southwestern United States.
Greater Roadrunner

Alternate habitat animals could be the Ocelot or Collard Peccary - though they are more associated with Central and South America, their ranges extend into Mexican and slightly into the lower Southwestern United States.

Since the arid-africa and SEA-tropical are both an animal and scenery pack pair i thought it would be interessting to continue that trend

Absolutely, makes sense, it's not always just about the animals we get. Scenery is important too!

I don't want people to forget: Central America is part of North America.

A Central America Scenery Pack would 100% be a sequel to the North America Animal Pack.

It doesn't have to be woodland/temperate pack for this apparent "sequel trend" to continue.

I genuinely wouldn't be shocked if the Autumn pack turns out to be the pieces pack counterpart of the NA Animal Pack.

If it will be a counterpart to the NA Animal Pack, it seems like it will either be Woodlands, Highlands, or the Western Hemisphere.
Since all of those can contain the Wolverine and one the Tasmanian Devil, this would make people happy.

Short of an all bird pack or revisiting the Amazon, I would think we’d have to get one of those two if not both

Well then I hope that some of those packs will have these although I put some of these same/similar ones in other threads:

Outback Animal Pack
  1. Perentie
  2. Short-beaked echidna
  3. Numbat
  4. Eastern grey kangaroo
  5. Frilled lizard (E)
Marine Animal Pack
  1. Green sea turtle
  2. Rockhopper penguin (third penguin species will be nice)
  3. Walrus
  4. Sea otter
  5. Small fish like clownfish and piranhas (Pygocentrus)(E)
And if full aquatic will be agreed and accepted to be there:
  1. Dugong
  2. West Indian manatee
  3. Arapaima AKA pirarucu
Safari Animal Pack
  1. African leopard (most wanted and hoped for)
  2. Baboon (any species that zoos have)
  3. Masai giraffe
  4. Black-backed jackal
  5. Either green or black mamba (E)
Any questions like why I choose the species and subspecies?

Here's how I'd do it:
  • Lowland Anoa
  • Visayan Warty Pig
  • Lion-Tailed Macaque
  • Persian Onager
  • Goodfellow's or Matschie's Tree Kangaroo
  • Black-Footed Ferret
  • Corquel's Sifaka
  • WE: Spix's Macaw

It sounds like you want us to ask about why you choose the species and subspecies. No judgment. You can discuss it if you'd like. I'm a bit confused about the manatee and the dugong though. I feel like one of those can be swapped out to add more variety to the pack because they're both sea cows.

Well, here's my reasons why I wanted Planet Zoo to have (as soon as possible after more than three years)
  1. African leopard: so that all of Africa's Big Five (along with both African rhino species) to be there. Two YouTube songs featuring those Big Five hardly tell why they're called that.
  2. Masai giraffe: nice to have another giraffe species and i thought Masai one's the second popular.
  3. Perentie: cancelled Zoo Kingdom and Zoo Tycoon 2013 got three varanids (monitor lizards), one from each of three continents that have varanids so I wanted an Australian one to be there too. One more Asian one was in Planet Zoo.
  4. Rockhopper penguin: nice to have a third penguin species.
  5. Small fish like clownfish and piranhas (Pygocentrus)(E): fish is the only one of the five groups/kinds of vertebrates not in that game. Just nameless ambient ones being food to adoptables.
And I also hoped that at least one toad species, last of four types of amphibians (frogs, one newt and one salamander) to be there. Also cobras and chameleons.

What did you mean about that? If you're wondering about differences between dugongs and manatees, it's their tail-fins. Dugongs' are like whales' and dolphins' while manatees' are round.

What if we got a Marine Pack with a Harbor or Coastal theme? The NA Animal Pack was pretty aquatic, and I think many animals would fit it (Walrus, sea otter, manatee, pelican,...). The tropical pack also added species from several continents, so something like a penguin wouldn't be off the charts either.

After my most wanted ones' official confirmation and arrival, Marine Pack would be my next wanted and agreement.
