We've just checked this one out and it looks like in this particular case it was down to you attempting to log-in too early! Everything should work fine now.

Any update as to why the Mac installer is not available in the store? I purchased the game about 30 minutes ago and still nothing.

Yep - it's downloading now (albeit verrry slowly) - guessing your seed servers are getting a workout at the moment.
