Server downtime - June 27th launch day!

I've just realised with the planned update for all platforms on June 27th that means the server is going to be down :/

Can someone from fdev confirm if this is going to take place during the same timeframe as usual server updates? (10am ish GMT) as I really don't fancy spending launch day unable to play until the servers come back on

the last downtime was 8am for 30mins
previous to that was the 2.3 update which had complications and took about 6 hours

lets hope for the former rather than latter :/

I'm assuming the update is mainly to add ps4 to the bgs so it might (hopefully!) not be a big one but it kinda scuppers any idea of a midnight launch playthrough and could take upto 3-4 pm going off some previous updates

I do believe that 2.3.10 (not to be confused with 2.3.01) is also due to drop at the same time on all formats. Means it'll be a longer downtime rather than a shorter one while that update is applied too.

Yeh this is my worry. Please FDev. Get it right. [up]

I am taking that one day off work. I don't want to look at a server not available screen.

I expect the bgs to be tied in with ps4 before 27th to avoid any launch day issues.

Otherwise any players lucky enough to get their disc early will be very disappointed at not being able to get a small jump-start.

I think it has to be done at the same time as an update to all platforms and a server restart. So depending on if this update contains more than just the ps4 addition it could take a while and fdevs servers will get hammered.

It would been better either the week or day before launch day tho as it has the potential for some bad launch day probs

I might even switch my day off to the Wednesday now!

I'd screenshot but adding images to this damn forum is my nemesis. Someone kindly explained how to do it the other day and I tried and failed using Imugr and I can't find the thread it was in!

Just lock the door, break the key and tell her you've tidied it. When she can't get in just feign ignorance.

Heh. It used to be easier they seem to have changed something which stops me uploading images now. Always have to link off site but it wasn't always like that.

yeah someone showed me the other day how to host on Imugr, and I tried but even though I was using the hosted image setting it still didn't work. Mind you I think this forum is 90s code... not very web 2.0!
