Hi all, love this game so far but something really frustrating just happened The PS4 servers went down for maintenance and there was only a 30 minute warning for the servers going down, I was just starting a Smeaton Orbital passenger run that takes 45 minutes to get there. Potentially 2 hours wasted if I lose all these passenger missions. Frontier, please give us at least a 60 minute warning message before doing server maintenance in the future so this doesn't happen again!! Thanks!

To be honest, it doesn’t much how much notice is given, it may still cause aggravation for some. For example, if FD sent an in-game message stating that the servers will go down in one hour, but I log in 45 minutes into that countdown, then I will effectively only get 15 minutes warning time. I could have logged in intending on continuing a mission that has a time limit that would expire.

People will always be unhappy when there is server downtime, no matter how long it is, when it is, what its for, or how much notice is given.
How long is the downtime on a Thursday?

Is today's server maintenance special? Probably too early for the Q1 Beyond update.. But that sure would be the cat's meow!
No, just the usual Thursday morning maintenance thing. I assume it's mainly the weekly PowerPlay updates being applied.
OK, reckon it's only me but your stated that the ps4 servers went down, but ask FDev for the favor of a longer notice. In my experience FDev does maintance on a Thursday, and ps4 usually does it on a Tuesday. At any rate, due to the fact that there are player arouond the globe playing at a variety of different time zones. It's gonna be impossible for any server not to disrupt some players somewhere.
I got caught once when FDev did it, but have since learned about their schedule and it hasn't happened again. I'm on the west cost of Mexico which shares the same time zone as the West Coast of America and which makes PS4 updates happen at or about 0400 on Tuesday mornings. I generally don't log on till at least 0600, so they have never be a problem. That said, I apparently also am connected to a Hitman server of somekind, and they have done updates during the mid afternoon, but it has never effected my ED play.
