With all these patches like playing ROME II all over again

Nope. Been playing PC games since Battlefield 2. NEVER known a game to have so many patches to fix issues with updates. I guess I should have expected the flame posts. I'm just annoyed and this seems like a place to vent - I just want to be reassured that a company I give my hard earned money to is testing updates properly before they release them.. I don't think I'm alone in the fact that I'm a little annoyed with all the downtime after every update...

Read either the patch notes or the many forum threads or the in game pop up or the launcher pop-up that said there is an update.

Aaargh not again. so now we get daily updates ?
How is this a bad thing? Most games if they break something, it takes weeks to get a fix. Are we seriously complaining about devs fixing their game less than a week after the major patch that got everyone riled up?
Update info said 1hr from 4pm. Try at 5:15, its never perfect

I still think its a shame this game always needs a connection to the server, but I guess it can't be helped
I like everyone am disappointed when the game is unavailable but to suggest that they don't test a patch is ridiculous. Anyone who has done programming knows its impossible to test every scenario and possibility with every piece of potential hardware etc. Unless you want to play a very rigid set game with no freedom to live your game the way you want NO THANKS!. I myself will be patient.

You're getting fed up with Frontier fixing their game? You'd rather they just leave it broken and only repair it once a month like most companies?
