Servers down AGAIN

Same here. East Sussex, UK.

Launcher is having trouble loading too.

Whilst typing, I've got the launcher to run. I now have a big PURCHASE button now... o_O

If we look at the number of servers problems the past few days, it's shameful. Tuesday big update and server overload due to number of players wanting to update and play, well duh!
Wednesday, servers went down for THREE HOURS. It would appear as soon as a peak time is hit, servers just die. This is unacceptable for a game that is online only except for training missions.
Agreed , and to make matters worse , we are kept in the dark about it , the only thing I have heard from FDev about this was a piece in a newsletter thanking people for the overwhelmingly positive response to the new launch. now I know space is big , but that is an opinion from a very different planet.

There aren't that many players in ED. The servers should be able to cope. There's something really wrong with back-end infrastructure to cause the server problems recently exhibited. I wonder of FDev are using a third party data centre with resource limits? Should still be fine but I'm not sure what else would cause the server stability problems they've had.

Thanks for heads up, was planetside in SRV. Got back in to ship safe and sound before getting kicked.

Aps.

Logged in this morning for the first time since the update and spent far too long trying to sort more new key bindings that do similar stuff to other key bindings in the game. Gave up to do something else and now I can't get back into the launcher.

Come on Frontier, sort your act out. There are other working games out there and every time you have downtime I realise they're not down and can manage to unify the controls across the game.

Not spending any money of cosmetics or new content until you can prove you can provide a stable game. Life's too short for entertainment to be a struggle.

I can't even start the launcher - says "could not synchronise with time server". Worked fine this morning.

Seems that at peak time, there are not enough server slots for the whole community to be logged in. IMHO more server slots required!

Fdev use Amazon servers, they've got an in depth video about it (a few yrs old or so), but they also mentioned it in the chapter 4 launch stream.

Tried logging in right now. The Launcher shows "Log in", "Register" & "Play Demo". When I select "Log in" and enter my username and password I get the following error: "Failed to parse server response Invalid JSON primitive."

I'm starting to get a bit fed up with this now!!!
