What are the chances they have someone working over the weekend and they will bring the server back online vs no one working over the weekend and no Elite till Monday?

Server down here about 25mins ago, China, UTC+8, thought it was a connection issue, bruh...

Edit: 15mins later server is back(UTC 19:31 ATM)

Same here, I'm in the Formindine Rift with my Carrier and basically no hope of getting back to the bubble until jump times get back to 15 minutes or so. If I wait until after around 2030 Eastern USA time I can usually get in one or two jumps thanks to the UK and EU players going to bed. That'll be a slow trip home thou.

This was the most... alarming... server connection loss I've ever had. I was in Odyssey settlement, doing my mission, and the screen just slowly faded to black. No error messages or anything for the longest time. I was worried my video card might have failed! I kept alt-tabbing back and forth. Task manager wasn't showing the usual "not responding" for the game I would expect. Eventually I got a magenta krait error and then it went back to trying to load. I have never had a server failure where it didn't crash me back to the initial login menu (where you see your ship docked).

I killed the process, closed the launcher, and tried all over again. Everything worked until the part where it should load that initial menu, and then "loading" forever. So I just killed everything and will wait.

Server's going down is going to happen. I'm not happy about it, but it happens. But this one... it made me feel like my computer was dying. And as I just replaced my motherboard a week ago (new computer, initial motherboard was defective), this was extremely scary!

Geez, FDev. Can you crash your game without making me feel like I'm in a horror movie? ;)

Judging by how unstable the servers have been lately my guess is there is a REALLY big chance someone is working :)

I find my self doing more relogging and what not to fix the issue with being stuck in store mode or outfitting, hell even jumps.. Atm at least that's more or less the gameplay.. Play a little do a relog to fix.. play again do another relog.. over and over.. Wonder if there is a plan for some serious upgrade for the servers soon.. so we at least get a stable game to play

In theory, this weekend is quite an important one, there's a LOT of players coming back to the game, I think Fdev would like to keep them, especially if they decide to buy some ARX to name their shiny new station. screw things up now and you might loose a lot of players/money.

There's a few very busy people running around in a building in Cambridge right now! May i suggest that if the servers are still down in an hour, we need to send a few pizzas over!
