Shamash Signal 25/10 new threat

On the post here , there is "26" written on the picture.
Maybe the signals must be decode with alphabet or ROT13
Nope. That's just the standard message displayed on terminals. No deep secrets or Easter eggs there...

You don't even need to be special to see that one.

I think we need to wait for whatever goes down tomorrow for the continuation. Consider this as… the setup.

My personal suspicion is that this is going to go somewhere toward the Thargoid story arc, at least in part because of message 10 in the recovered logs.
This is the 3rd use of such a sound in elite, 1st on a generation ship where they heard something that made them kill each other, 2nd during the Azimuth story, and now this. My guess is it's not Thargoid but somehow connected to the guardians, maybe 1 of their AI.

That's an interesting theory. Maybe this is part of "it's coming".

it might be connected to this, found in message 3:

So admittedly, I reproduced your efforts and recorded the third audio log in Audacity, then viewed the spectograph and found the message exactly like you did.

I then did the same thing with the 5th log from the Tethis generation ship but couldn't find any text. Was there any to be found? Or did I miss a step?

I don't think there's something hidden there. The whole Tethis story has a similar vibe though, and log #3 does have a similar phrase:

"I heard the message. I was trying to run it through the translator and I forgot the speaker was on. It’s the same message relayed again and again and again – it’s more a whisper than anything else; it says, ‘kill them all’…"

(emphasis by me)

I've been through all 10 Shamash logs -- AND the 5th Tethis log -- forward and reverse. No more hidden messages within the spectograph, nor any hidden messages in the audio itself.

I wonder if the hidden message BEING in the 3rd log has some significance... something to do with the third celestial body in Shamash, perhaps? Looks like an ordinary gas giant to me.

You'll think you're completely normal, then a week later the inhabitants of the hydroponics outpost will all be dead around you and you'll be holding their power regulator and - unlike every other time - you'll have no memory of how this happened.
Wouldn't that be a neat Halloween trick though?

Log off, log back in on Odyssey after having been in the system, instead of being in your ship wherever you logged in-system, you're on a planet in the middle of a small outpost or shipwreck in the same system, and just numerous bodies and some loot (maybe good loot, just because it's an event thing).

Perhaps with a hefty bounty on you, and a forum exploding with whines! 🤭

So I’m now seeing reports of CZs popping up - not currently there to verify myself - but completely empty. I guess that’s half the battle fought…

Curious if I’d have to participate in the fighting/CG to get the continuation of the event. Or if there’ll be some non-combat stuff to chase down today(probably not - certainly not expecting so, though I’ll check… if there is, it’ll be found before I log on again though so eh).

A great idea which, unfortunately, would look pants in VR. :)
