Shamelessly cheating AI since 1.4

The AI always been cheating in this game, but since 1.4 it's worse than ever.

- for interdiction, the AI don't need to go behind me, they can interdict me even from head to head, or from side...
- After and AI success interdicts me, i boost away and return to SC, it interdicts me again in 5 seconds... and again and again, until i blow it up, or close the game.
- AI gimballed and turreted weapons aren't affected by chaffs...
- few days ago i've been shooting an AI anaconda with my Asp (2x medium multi cannon, and 4x small pulse laser), and it just charged and returned to SC in 10 seconds (with 8% hull) while i was continously hitting it. HOW?

AI is also got some serious retardness: AI pirate interdicts me, and texts "delicious cargo" "that's the cargo i'm looking for", while my cargo is 3 ton of food cartridges :DD (~700 CR in total).

I cant reproduce that. Chaff definitely works, chain-interdiction was already introduced in 1.3 (and its not cheating, cmdr pirates do so as well!) and I've been avoiding interdiction by preventing them from getting behind me. The comms are bit odd but are triggered by missions. The cargo may be garbage but something tells me the mission payout was not. :)

Chain interdictor NPCs are almost always result of specific mission trigger. That causes them to spawn on top of you continuously until you switch instance (jump out of system / quit essentially). That will give you a new "roll" from encounter table.

Chaff does seem to work, not sure what´s going on with you. Although it won´t help much against frag cannon turrets that bigger npc ships like to pack themselves with and they have infinite ammo. :p

You refer to chain-interdiction by multiple NPC, he refers to single NPCs interdicting you again. This chasing behavior was part of 1.3.

Strange, I have been evading interdictions the last couple of days doing just that. For some reason my arrival with 200t of freshly mined precious is publicly broadcasted these days to all pirates in the vicinity.

I have had persistent AIs chasing me, but not with that frequency. One particularly tenacious Anaconda followed me right up to the station's slot.

Seems to work for me.

Why wouldn't it?

Yeah, they also seem to have the hots for limpets.

My favorite: going to mining, a pirate interdicts me, submitted, dropped 5 biowaste him, said not enough, drop more, next time pirate interdicted, dropped 100 limpets, answer, not enough, drop more, what is enough, 10.000t of painite? :)
It seems so, you cannot avoid pirates even if you drop them your total cargo, thex don't care, starting to shoot immeditely, this part of game is also broken...

That's not everything.
AI's Cheats:
- insta lose or win interdiction ( no matter how good/bad are you. Sometimes you can't win, sometimes you can't lose. even if you want. ).
- Chaff never worked for them.
- Silent running not working for them.
- Heat sinks not working for them.
- Jump without cooldown.
- They can attack you in station without getting killed.

Funny, A Conda picked a fight with me while I was mining, took his shields down, then hull to 60% he starts to run, so I sat on his tail cutting him down. 15% left we go out of mass lock from the roids. Hahaha Frame shift charge detected, good luck with that I'm mass locking you.... 8 Seconds later hull at 1% he jumps!

Should He not have been effected with a long charge time?

Yep that's it, it's a conspiracy.

Again!! I'm running out of tinfoil hats here. :p

Joking aside, interdictions have got a lot harder to make. Just took out an Assassination Mission where after having failed twice to pull the target out of SC, I picked on the lowest ranked in the Wing. Worked a treat! :D

AI have been doing that since game release unfortunately. I've had countless ships jump without any long charge time whilst I'm mass locking them in my 'conda.

AI is not cheating. Different rules apply to AI and different for players. It has allways been like that in other games. You cant make AI true AI so if you want it to be competetive against humans you have to set different rules for AI

8 seconds sounds too short for an inter-system jump, and if it were jumping to supercruise he should be mass-locked (depending on what you're flying).

For whats its worth i'm sure Sarah confirmed NPCs all had fixed weapons and unlimited ammo (I'll try and find the post). They also have to use pips and mostly fly FAO.

Lets face it guys, the poor AI's have to have some perks, after all they are easy meat to earn a crust from ;)
