Sharing Wing Missions

We were doing massacre missions last night. I had taken on 20 missions, but the "Shsre mission" option was only available for the last one I tokk from the mission board. I think that that one was the only one when we were winged-up at the time of accepting the mission. Could somebody please help us out by explaining the exact rules about how and when you can share missions? What are the prerequisites or conditions that allow it?

the process is like this:
  • share 1 mission.
  • hand in mission.
  • share 2nd mission.
  • hand in 2nd mission.

...

you can share fullfilled missions before handing in, wingmates have to accept the fullfilled mission, before you complete.

we sometimes do sharing meet-ups at stations (everyone fullfills as many missions alone, as they can, than we meet up for a circle of share - accept - complete)

Does sharing a completed mission with a wing mate just before hand in feel mechanically wrong to anyone?

Can you stack up a bunch of ready to turn in wing missions before joining a wing and then share?

I feel like they should only be shareable when they're not started or in progress. Shouldn't they be locked out of sharing once they're ready to turn in, and players should only get credit for a mission they actually participated in (ie, actually killing one of the 80 pirates)?

(Also why can't we just share all missions...)

The mission needs to be a wing mission, not all missions are wing missions.
As factabulous showed in his pic there is an Icon and a text showing if the mission is a wing shareable mission.

Might that have been the problem ?

Thanks for your answers, guys, I think I understand it now, but it seems a bit weird that they give wing missions that you can't share in a wing, so what's the point of them? Why don't they make them non-wing missions?

For the same reason you can sometimes be given mostly wing mission options despite being in solo; FD puts nearly no consideration into implementation.

Just accept what it is and move on. FD will not listen.

It does feel like sharing completed wing missions is a bad mechanic... It feels like there are a lot of exploitive loopholes scattered through the system that have never been closed.

I would think a more "fair" approach would be to only reward a commander for the portion of the wing mission they took part in. Ex: If I had 5/10 pirates killed, and shared a mission with you, you'd get 50% of the reward when we completed the mission. Furthermore, I think that if you shared a mission with me, and I didn't contribute to the mission objective AT ALL, then I shouldn't share in the reward when it is completed. The game already tracks each wing member's participation in the objective.
