Ship interiors and new ships.

No, it's not cool when the specialization of ships is violated. This divides the ships into the best in everything, and almost useless in everything.

Oh dear, missed the great "dedicated module slot" wars of, when was it? 2019?

They introduced military slots for military vessels and were immediately flooded by demands from players that the dedicated military slots should be able to be used for Fuel Scoop, Fuel Tanks, Passenger compartments, general freight and etc. Any attempt to specialise ships that make them less useful X than "that other ship" is met with immediate gasps of astonishment and threads full of complaints.

You missed the biggest one of all, the issue that brings Roberto and me much joy talking about.

I don't do PvP, so I can't really comment on that aspect of the game. But I'm having plenty of fun plapping pirates in my PvE Type-10, as part of my journey towards earning that Federal Corvette. I find wasting corsairs in a handy RES to be a much more amusing and appropriate activity for a Naval officer than the back-to-back postman missions which are recommended by a lot of online guides as a means of quickly earning Fed rank.

The engineering of my ship is slow going, but thankfully material traders have made the entire process much less tedious. I try to mix up my engineering runs a bit by doing some research on Inara about the markets of my destination, and hauling some cargo with me. Of course I can't haul as much tonnage or make as much profit as a ship with outfitting dedicated to merchant activities, but it's another straw on the back of the Trader rank camel, and every little helps towards breaking through to Tycoon. This not only increases my market network while I'm doing the engineering work, but also provides some in-flight entertainment now that I'm flying a ship that's not made of wet cardboard.

We still can't interact with players in space in any way.

Probably you're trying the wrong way... our recent interaction was pretty much good indeed (and more unposted yet to come):

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of Borons suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.
I'll give Elite a point over X4 for having a "You need to log in today if you want to continue successfully impacting the BGS" hook. It's a very effective tool to keep people playing, assuming they are interested in the BGS. Thankfully my X4 universe is frozen in time, so all my Borons are time-locked in whatever state I left them (probably happy, since they are almost always happy, except those few grumpy ones).

Bingo card, angry ex boyfriends, dead game, SC still Alpha, doom-sayers, maintenance mode, free Engineered Anaconda, Hotel California, git gud.

Missed anything?
My Elite is in maintenance mode 😜

Ironically it's why I'm enjoying it so much at the moment.

Hauling CGs in my Type 9 was a fast way to get Elite in trade, once i got my Cutter CGs boosted me to Elite V in no time as the payouts are way often better (some have been silly!).

I'm sure that my Trader rank will advance faster whenever I decide to pull the trigger on buying a Fleet Carrier, along with the mining and transport ships I intend on outfitting in order to service said carrier. I've got more than enough money for it, but I'm curious as to how long it will take to gain another billion without drinking from the gushing money fountain that Exobiology has become.

CGs but mainly Robby passenger runs, i wracked up 6 billion in less than 2 weeks.

It's a bit silly how easy credits can be to get. I've got every ship in the game + a carrier and I'm still sitting at over 10 billion. Now I just mess around with power play and influence minor factions for fun. Wish I had something to spend this crap on.

Thing is, I think that everyone will reach that point sooner or later if they play the game for long enough, so long as they are accumulating credits at a rate greater than they are spending them. It's a process that can be easily accelerated by bigger flying ships that can carry more cargo, or by getting better at combat, or just generally becoming more familiar with the game mechanics pertaining to wealth acquisition. Obviously one will get there even faster by exploiting such things as Robigo runs, pirate massacre stacking, or just generally no-lifeing one of the more lucrative activities for a few months, like what I did with exobiology (not a great deal of anything else to do out there, it has to be said).

So I agree that more credit sinks would be a good idea, but the "easiness" of getting to that point is just a matter of how soon one chooses to get there.

Yep - which is pretty much guaranteed to be the case, since the new player in a Freewinder needs to be able to progress from that with neither skill nor equipment, and the game has (by design!) no way to force players out of their comfort zone - sure, you can lose a lot of money very quickly by going to a CZ or the Thargoid War too soon or in the wrong ship, but you can also just not do that.

Pretty much the same in any game if you play enough, you seriously don't want to know how much Plat my Everquest Guild is sitting on :ROFLMAO:

He ran out of fuel because he hit an allied ship while shooting at a Thargoid and was sent to prison when he wanted to fix the ship.
Oh yes fdev do something about it, because it's unbearable due to unintended firing to:

- move to a station to get transferred to a prison (~ 10 min)

- repatriate a ship to have a correct jump range (~ 20 min)

- return to the area close to the fighting (~ 10 min)

- repatriate his ax combat ship (~ 20 min)

- Be able to return to ax combat zone (~ 5 min)

Total: ~ 1h 5min for a poor missed shot.

Conclusion: fdev... pass these combat zones in anarchic or do something please... And, for the cmdrs, pass in reporting of crimes off when you are in the zone please.🥺
