Ship lasers randomly stop working.

So starting today I've had this weird issue where some of my beam lasers randomly stop working after submitting to interdictions. They are activated in the module menu, they have power, I have energy in the pip thing. They just... don't fire. Logging out and back in or jumping to super cruise fixes it but it's just weird to randomly have them cut out.
 
Have you checked your fire groups? Perhaps there's a half empty setting left from the previous fire group issues a few updates ago.

yup, checked those too, not only are they all set they appear in the active weapon area in the hud when in combat.

Okay, I got nothing except that one old bug where ship kits block certain weapons from firing.

I dont think that it's that from how randomly they stop working. Sometimes the larger one stops, sometimes the two smalls. Sometimes it's the large and one of the smalls.

Anything you changed today in-game, however irrelevant it may seem? Just figure that if it's some new bug caused by Update 11.x, you would have run into it sooner.
 
On the Corvette, the class 3 weapon doesn't fire unless you're pointing directly at the enemy. As soon as the enemy rises above the line of the ship, it'll stop because the ship's hull blocks it. It's probably the same with the class ones, but the other way up.

Which is why you also have to fly the FDL upside down to hit anything short range with the huge 🔫. The only problem being that then you can't see what you're shooting at. :alien:

Based on op's screenshot of firegroups, those beams are fixed - so they should always fire when the trigger was pressed
So maybe a button that has issues?
 
A while ago. I had something similar when using an X52. There must have been a problem between ED and the driver because it always worked fine in the test program. It lasted a couple of weeks, then suddenly cured itself. I was mining at the time. Sometimes the lasers wouldn't fire at all, other times they were intermittent, like burst lasers, similar to when the capicitor runs out. I had used that mining ship extensively using my Virpils, but I had to use my X52 for a short time, which is when the problem started.
 
I had this, do you have x52 joystick
It was the amount of power my joystick was trying to draw..... is was border line enough

I ended up buying a powered USB hub, this give x52 enough power.... no ghost sticky triggers or fails to fire when pressing trigger since. Happy days

I knew it wasn't game, as I could still fire with my mouse.

If you don't have an x52, ignore me.. hehe

I know it is probably not the case here, but these things happen when your priorities are not set correctly and your generator is overclocking (above 100%), so just in case, have a look at it.

Happended to me recently. Luckily it wasn't the lasers, but my wake scanner. Relogging solved the problem - obvioiusly not an option in the middle of a fire fight.

My Joystick throttle has also stopped working on a couple of occassions. Again, relogging solved the problem.
