I had this happen to me right around Christmas. Sent off my ship, recalled it, it landed, then it popped off the ground and hovered. The SRV bay was open and appeared active, but I was unable to board.
Since we can't turn off Horizons on PS4 to kick us back to orbit, I ended up having to self destruct the SRV. It's made me a bit skittish about landing and deploying an SRV while out with DW2.
I recall there being a fix in the past that would have ships hover to help with difficult terrain and SRV boarding. When it happened to me, the ground was flat as glass, so no idea what occurred. Tried restarting the game, popping to different game modes, winging up and having someone try to push my ship into the ground, but no dice. When we pushed the ship down with another ship and I drove under to the SRV bay, I got the landing site not clear warning and the ship took off.... dragging the Anaconda that was on top of it a good 300m into the sky. My T9 space cow got to be a rodeo bull for a minute.
