Ships attacking not showing colour change

Just been hunting pirates at a res.
When attacked not able to determine who is attacking me as all ship markers shown as yellow rather than the flashing white when you are being attacked.
Ship I am attacking shows just red.
Target next hostile etc doesn't target anything even when my shields are dropping like hell.
Is this a bug or am I missing something?

I can confirm this.
Additionaly I am still being attacked after the enemy is destroyed. My shield goes down and I can see and hear the laser beams, but there is no attacker around me.
 
Ouch, that's a pretty bad bug.
I just hope we won't have to wait for Patch 10 to fix it like we had to do with the restricted areas that weren't supposed to be restricted.
That was quite game breaking (cost me a few covert missions and therefore reputation, bounty and notoriety) and yet they kept it in the game for weeks.
 
My five cents - when I attacked enemy superpower wing (2 ships) and attacked one of them - second did not attacked me - just flying around watching me killing his friend. His marker was default yellow, while the one I attacked was red.
 
This is happening to me in my AFK type 10 and anaconda. Fighter is not engaging targets that attack me either. Getting attacked and seeing shield hits and no red blips on the radar to indicate the target.
 
Zikolach is right, there was a second or third pirate from a partially destroyed wing that is not turning red and is not attacked by the wingman and not even by the security forces.
It causes damage, triggers the graphical and sound effects of a fight, but is not flagged red.
It does not only happen to afk Type 10. I could reproduce this issue with an actively flown Imperial Cutter. Taking damage has stopped after this sneaky pirate was found and destroyed.
 
yep, same for me, normally ships in wings will go red as soon as you attack one of them but not now ONLY the ship you actively engaged with is red.
 
In U8 I was getting invisible SLFs if I destroyed the mothership first. The fix was to go to supercruise, as the enemy SLF would not be on the radar, would not be visible, but would continue to attack.

If I killed the SLF first, and then the ship that launched it, all good.

I can confirm this. If I attack one squadron member of 3, then only that one is red on a scanner although rest of them are also attacking me
 
I can confirm most of this happening in my copy of Odyssey 9, just not the invisible ships. I wonder if some players are thinking that the incoming fire comes from nowhere, even though it is just coming from someone whose marker is not flashing on the radar.

My victim turns red, but even when he returns fire he does not flash white/red. His mates stay yellow, and one of them attacks me without turning red or flashing red/white. Not sure what the other guy does, in a wing of three. I haven't had any problems with invisible ships, though; once I have determined the direction of the incoming fire, I can turn onto that bearing and let him have it, and that might be what looks like an invisible ship because he's not shown as shooting on the radar. But I dp make sure I lock on to him, else he's a proper sod to find if I lose him.

Yes! I had noticed that but I didn't even consider it being part of the same bug!

While we're on the subject of security forces, I note that usually once I join in a fight with a damaged pirate (the security forces damaged him), the security forces stop shooting at him completely, and I'm left on my tod to deal with him - and I'm usually outclassed, because I go in with a light fighter (a modded-up Sidewinder) to minimise rebuy costs. It's almost as if they say like 'Hey look, someone else has joined in, we can let him finish the job and we'll all go have a cup of tea'.

Does that normally happen with the security forces, or could this too be part of the same bug?

I took a mission to eliminate 30 pirates and encountered following issues:
  • if you order your SLF to attack pirate ship - pirate doesn't fight back - just slowly dies from SLF fire
  • when you attack single pirate - all others change color to red (normal), and all their ships turrets will fire at you, but purates themselves ignore you
  • in the end when you redeem the mission - there is no influence given according to final screen, despite it should produce +5 INF (see screenshot)
