Ships should be reworked in order to give more incentive to players to use something other than the Python or the Anaconda. (No nerfs involved)

In the OP, the poster states 'No Nerfs Allowed' in the title. In that vein, I'd say that FD should simply create more ships. While I disagree with the premise that the 'snakes' mentioned are too capable and that there needs to be some sort of fix, I would agree that new ships are good.

I don't know what you think addressing a point is, but continually circling back to the same flawed idea over and over isn't it, no matter how much you stretch it out.
Then I literally don't know what you want me to say. 🤷‍♂️ My post articulated my views and opinions about the Python pretty clearly with actual specs if you read it, so I don't know why you think I was "Making grossly exaggerated claims and dishonest arguments".

You've been pretty hostile towards me (and everyone else for that matter) in all your interactions (are you holding a grudge?), and you haven't really contributed anything to the actual topic that I can see, so I don't see any benefit in engaging with you further.

Two birds with one stone. The Clipper becomes a Medium and it's Hardpoint convergence improves. Would be fantastic.
Nope, unless you want to fight with landing gear down. They would be retractable nacelles just like the original FE2/FFE version.

I have never felt the need to own an Anaconda and probably never will, unless I want a stripped to bone Colonia shuttle. Python I have some experience with. There are aspects where the myriad other mediums beat it, especially combat, but there are a few jobs it's really, really good. It is the king of medium pad hauling and almost unparalleled in multipurpose mission running, though the Krait offers some challenge.

It would be nice if the Type-7 was able to challenge the mass hauling role to medium pads, and the Clipper was there to challenge the armed trader/pirate role. Clipper has a niche where it is, though.

The Anaconda is one of the hallmark ships in the Elite universe and is also one of DBOBES favorites, along side the Cobra MkIII. Its obvious that David would want the Anaconda would be one of the best, if not the best ship in the game.

I don't see any changes coming to this any time soon, if ever.

If you're calling back to something from over a month ago, looks like it's you who's nursing a grudge. Some powerful irony there, I don't think you thought that one through. Bold of you to assume you left an impression, though.

Your argument about the Python was addressed over and over, and you just keep re-presenting it anew. Ignoring responses doesn't invalidate them. Your argument was an ever-moving target that just kept running away from logic.

Let's hit that recap. The Python is the only viable Medium ship. Oops, you meant Multipurpose, these goalposts have legs. Krait II isn't exactly the same ship, so forget that. How would some large ships being medium ruin your game, repeated about a dozen times. We should have more ships, and because we should have more ships, the Python is too good, circular logic complete.

Frankly, the exaggerate argument you make about the Python being so above and beyond everything else is an argument to nerf the Python, not buff ships you want buffed. Both you and the OP make the mistake of thinking that any change is agreeable as long as it's a buff and not a nerf.

I was honestly not expecting so many hostile responses. It's just a video game people there's no need to get that serious.

I also find it rather funny that even though I'm suggesting nothing but buffs people are still somehow finding a way to complain about it.
Mate this argument is as old as the game.
But for what it’s worth I agree the ships needs another balance pass. But tbh the biggest problem I can see is the role of small ships in the game. this became more apparent when engineers came out as many medium and large ships could become faster and more agile And FD forgot to add a load of weapons for them for ages.

I love the cobra mkiii and can still shoot down anything in her but since engineers she takes a fair bit of damage from the big 3. The big A though is like a huge turret in CZs and that where you need a nerf. Big ships need to rely on turret hard points for defence and shouldn’t be able to pivot about like I’ve seen them do. My poor cobra was assigned to the dock after a few duels with these. Sad days so I accepted the push to fly the mediums like the Fed gunship Whose only down side appears to be the inability to run away.

see you in the black cmdr
