Should I refund?

I see. Well, that´s hard. Why did you think you will like the game? And why you feel you don´t like it in the end? That´s should form your decision.

Well I expected the dinosaurs to interact more, The interest in the park to be more involved (correct me if I am wrong but aside from breakouts and adding new attractions you cant change the interest) such as advertising campaigns using the photos. I expected bigger lands so you could mess around with the enclosures more and use the dna to make odd combinations that change things like behavior more than just needs stats and colour. I expected more depth, and from what I mostly hear, its lacking that.

I would say most people simply likes this game being about dinosaurs and there is rly nothing else to play with this theme. Bscly, if you are dinosaur lover, you have to like it, because there is no other choice on the market...It has nice graphics and everything in general, but it seems to lack in gameplay at this point. Now, what is more important for you ?

Ha thats true. You see that's my problem. Both are important to me so its weighing up whether one is enough without the other. Sometimes I wish steam refunds where based on a percentage of playtime rather than a set two hours. Smaller games still get hurt by it and large games just don't give enough time to know these things.

I guess I have 13 more days to decide at least. I wouldn't be distraught if I lost the £50, but would feel pretty stupid. I never preorder. I just like my dinosaurs lol.

I have played only a little bit of this game and saw some more just watching it someone playing. Don´t own it, but had an access to it through my friend today. It fullfiled my fears I had based on my experiences with Planet Coaster. It´s great looking game, but the gameplay, management and interaction is very shallow. It even coppied some mistakes from PC. There are very same flaws with guests (whose are now even more uselles as they are more like a scenery here). There is no connection with guests, which is important. This was not very good in Planet Coaster and surprisingly, here it´s even worse.

If anything, I was a bit dissapointed with the AI of dinos (at least some of them should rly work in packs). My friend is dissapointed too, but he is not going to refund it. If I were him, I would refund it. Then maybe buy it later at cheaper price. I think the price tag is not adequate to the content/quality of the game.

But yea, nobody will help you to solve this. If you still can, wait these 13 days and in the mean time, im sure you will make up your mind ;)

Thanks, I appreciate the opinion. it is helpful. Seems to prove my concerns a bit more.

I'm sure I will decide too. Maybe I can risk an extra 30 mins but not sure what ill get done in that time lol. Probably closer to refunding it. Just sometimes you really just want a good dino park.
