There is one really cool mini zoo near paris called parrot world. Essentially a small south america section with capybara, giant otter and jaguar encased in an enormous aviary for all sorts of south american birds. Might be worth a look if you have a spare afternoon

Thank you Looks really cool but I didn't have time, we were just there for the weekend getting rowdy with friends. Almost home now Eurostar was crazy today, 2 hour long queue for security then another hour to board

Well, I just got some blood work done today for the second time in my life. Not the most pleasant experience, but I did better than last time.

So far two things of note has happened this vacation:

1. I went from 68 to 93 species of bird documented on my Cornell App all in the span of a week!
2. I finally got my first Warhammer 40k figures, they are some Orks which are one of my favorite factions.

I Was doing some stuff in my room when i looked out the window to see this guy

I know it's hard to see but it's a toco toucan.

He is still there actually, and the way he is moving there makes me think he is considering on make a nest there.

In 40K they are especially fun. They are biological weapons that carry an ecosystem in their DNA. Not to mention a whole ton of knowledge is also locked away in their DNA, every Ork ever born already knows what they are at birth. They also worship fighting and war, and the more an Ork fights the bigger and stronger they get.

They are my goofy green terrors and hooligans and I love em.

I’m in North Carolina right now, visiting my girlfriend’s family. I actually saw a scarlet tanager in the wild and it was so pretty!
