Signal Found in Deep Space - An Independent Raxxla Hunters Investigation

This does sound very intriguing. What happened to these investigations? I stumbled upon this thread from a search due to something I read in the Dark Wheel novella, where Rafe says that Jason Ryder had told Rafe that he had found "real evidence of the existence of Raxxla" after Jason "came back from Deep Space".

Wow, since there is a lot of recent interest, myself and other cmdrs flew out about a year after this first investigation and confirmed spent weeks confirming the accuracy of the original investigation. We were not able to find the source. I spent about a week checking for stars that were not in the galmap. Recently I saw a very well put together video by MATTIUS RAXXLA THEORIES : The Signal that covers the high-level of the investigation very well. This sound has been in the game for a while if not the beginning of the game, you can hear it in some videos of people at Sag A. Keep searching, I have a feeling this is only a small part of a larger puzzle.

I went to Sagittarius A, and had a funny idea related to this:

What if I placed the supermassive between myself and Sol. Targeted Sol, dropped out of Supercruise and faced Sol.

I had Sol literally in the "center" of sorts to the supermassive.

I got a very strange sound. The immediate thing I noticed were atmospheric synthy sounds, with loud distorted takes on what can only be described as jet planes landing, along with chittering, that's the best I can describe it.

But, the more I listened, the more I heard other stuff.

Like what I can only describe as voices, but not talking, just voices, heavily distorted. A strange, tinny, I dunno... "Morphing" sound, similar to the chitters. As well as radio static. Random clicking sounds. And more importantly: The same thrumming sound I noticed when I first heard the landscape signal, only a tad bit more pronounced, like a strange heartbeat almost.

It's really, really strange, and quite frankly, freaks me out a bit.

Unfortunately, I'm on Xbox, so I cannot provide any sort of sound recording.

But if any PC players are near there, might be worth investigating, assuming this hasn't been done already.

Also assuming I'm not just jumping to stuff, which may be a possibility.

Hello,
i went were the Signal was pinponted to from the Original CMDRs, after a week and a bit playing around i used what i know about the SectorGrid, System Naming and how the Galaxy is Organised in an Octree.
And now i think the Source is located at (15;-25;25895). (Nothing to jump to)

Simply because 15;-25;25895 is the left bottom front Corner of the "10ly-Boxel" in the "Center" of the GalaxyMap.
there are many definitions of the "Center".
For this Center it was assumed that: (this is a bit special but as far as i understand the underlying mechanics it makes sence)
a) the the very "left front" of the GalMap is aligned whit the very "left front" of the 0;0;0th 1280ly-Boxel
b) the bottom is a bit diffrend, but basicly the border between Sectors in hight is at -25
c) the Map spans 78.125 1280-Boxels from left to right and front to back giving 100,000 ly x 100.000ly
d) and the map spans 15,625 1280ly-Boxels in hight ()

whit these i get:
78.125 / 2 = 39.0625 -> 39 1280ly Boxel + 8 10ly Boxels
So i searched for a System whit the Id64 equvilant for 0;39;8;32;0;39;0;0 (ID;HightX;LowX;HightZ;LowZ;HightY;LowY;Layer)

for more on ID64: ED Sector Names still not good explaind just play whit it and it may makes sence. (if you are intressted and can speack German as good as Englich and want make a Guide etc. i may can answer ur Questions. Dont hesitate to ask)

The System would be called Stuemeae OX-L a7-0 but StellarForge did not generated a system for this Boxel
This 10ly-Boxel has its "left bottom front" Corner at (15;-25;25985)
And its "right top back" Corner at (25;-15;25905)

Also (15;-25;25985) is between the Bidirectional Systems mentiond in the paper.

Still I can be totaly wrong here, its just the bset i could come up whit.

Ride On CMDRs

Update:
SuperCruised to (15;-25;25985) from two Systems
the First: STUEMEAE JM-W C1-5825 which is ~0.635ly away but in a differed Boxel. The angels where to detect the signal had not changed.
next i Cruised there from STUEMEAE KM-W C1-7529 dist. 3.67ly (16+ hours). Its in the Boxel but 2 Layers up. Same result nothing there and direction not changing.
Made a 90° turn Cruising another hour. And again had to point in the same spot at the Skybox.
Conclusion assuming i am under 10ly from Source:
The Signal (Sound) is coming from the Skybox which is infinit far away. the position where it is in the Skybox only depends on the System you are in. Not where you are whitin the System. Rendering the Source unreacheable. its Like SC to another System the marker changes but the Renderd Star does not.

Plotting Route to Mare Somnia (really need some sleep now)

This is starting to remind me of when I thought I found a "Heartbeat" signal. I kept hearing a low, bassy thrum. It sounded like a echoy heartbeat. I thought the game was going super Meta and being a whole "Heartbeat of the Galaxy" thing, and that the Universe is living, ect.

Really all I was hearing the entire time was the sound of your ships sensors... If you drop out of super cruise and listen carefully, you can still hear it. I hate it . Everything about it. It now just taunts me.

If you visit Delphi installation is Sol and open galmap from there, you will hear ''music''(clicking sound). It intensivity changes from camera position and orientation on galaxy too. I think it is most intensive in gal center and when looking towards magellanic clouds.

edit.
There was another installation that caused this but I don't remember now its name. Princess something (btw check other installations for this)
edit.2
Sol installation is curious too, try hacking maintenance hatch and fly inside.. strange thing inside

OK, I know that I'm going to probably get flamed for this, my apologies in advance if I missed something reading the thread. But what is the reasoning for thinking this isn't just Sagittarius A (the complex radio source, and not Sagittarius A*, which is the supermassive black hole itself)?

Because several pilots from multiple organizations have verified this source is not at Sag A and the PDF shows this. Though there is still reason to believe that this could be a placement bug we had filed a bug well over a year ago to get Frontier's feedback if this is expected or not. Please upvote the bug https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/446. I would like to point out that this appears to be the only signal source that is "visible" from every system in the game. Even large black holes can not be recorded from a nearby star system.

The “WOW!” Signal. Generally believed to have come from the direction of Sag A*. In that area you’ve got the curly tail and something that looks strikingly similar to the “mountain”. Checking the mountain spectrograph there even seems to be the faint outline of the box above it seen here.

Vector Patrol on the Vectrex ? That srv even has six wheels.

After a bit of digging I realized Vector Patrol was a home brew title released in 2018 on cartridge for a console that was released in 1980. Timeline doesnt fit, but still kinda cool :D

The more I look at the "penthagram" - the more I see a distinct "A" with a * symbol above at the top left corner. Something that is easily missed when using wrong spectragram "window" parameter.
