Ability to shut off your suit to become harder to detect and avoid getting a bounty. The tradeoff being that you are shieldless and HUDless. Turning your suit on too quick after doing something illegal would still give you the bounty so you have to accept the risk of having it off for 5-10 seconds to successfully avoid it. Also this would make you invisible on the radar to other players. Could also have gameplay implications in the future that I'm not thinking of.

There are already plenty of stealth mods - and guides around on how to use them. No need for any more.
There's already a way to avoid picking up bounties. Don't shoot anyone unless they themselves have a bounty. Thats what your little scanner tool is for.
It's also worth bearing in mind that non-violent and clean kill assassination missions exist, so any mission can be completed without picking up a bounty from killing anyone.
Agree that stealth mods aren't needed either, not when I can do missions in a flight suit.

Well, this is tradeoff right now for the stealth. Elite's mobs do not cheat. So if you turn off shield & lights they will have hard times to see you.
