Simple Fix to Combat Logging

As an idea why not give the person who was attacking the person the rewards if for example they get the logger down to less than 25% hull. This would make it less of a blow for pirates who attack (in full rp mode) and the quarry logs.

Using this idea they attack a quarry who after damage decides to log, however the rewards they would get are still given so if it's cargo/creds/combat rating bonuses then it's still rewarded.

There would have too be checks to stop people forming logging groups to get to Elite etc and if a person keeps logging in combat then that would have to be investigated especially if they are in combat but it would lessen the blow to the attacker.

But it doesn't say so anywhere, neither in the game or in the EULA. The only thing we have is a comment buried in a thread buried somewhere in this forum. 90% of the playerbase doesn't visit the forum. That doesn't mean that I am "pro combat logging".

Not accusing you of being pro combat logging.

Where does it say that you gave consent to any specific mechanics/parts of the game?

I didn't give consent for the death penalties and the rebuy insurance cost, nor to any NPCs to attack nor interact with me, but surely my complaint filed to the support is not going to be taken seriously.

Yes, finally some on-topic discussions, keep this flowing.

All this hand wringing boo-hoo about combat logging, and I still have not seen a single good argument against doing it when just about everyone agrees ED is not a competitive game. All I hear is "Waaaaah my feelings got hurt"
