General / Off-Topic Singapore Airlines will operate the longest flight in the world from October

Bypass ratio FTW. I love the new ultra long-range variants from Airbus and Boeing.

Not for me, though. I do love flying, but anything longer than 2-3 hours becomes really uncomfortable for me, so I only travel around Europe. :D

My goodness... The prices will be insane! I don't even wanna' know how much business/first class will be...

I'll stick with the Gosport ferry to Portsmouth.

They've missed an opportunity there. Singapore to Quito, Equador would be further. About as far as you can go in fact. Navigation would be simple too: pick a direction, and carry on until you get there. Any direction will do...

Yeah, they surely wouldn't have trouble filing the flight, every day. Show me a Singaporean who wouldn't want to go to Quito, right? :D
On the other hand, London and Sydney are also almost exactly opposite to one another. That route makes much more sense.

Sydney is nowhere near opposite London. The nearest land to the antipodes of Sydney is the Azores islands. https://www.antipodesmap.com/
