I was going to get a cheap 40" samsung LED panel screen... still undecided tbh, for the price i guess i could get the IR piece of kit $140 odd dollars, so much for such a small piece of kit though..

I got one, 40inch 120 Mz refresh, ED looks amazing! Mine is a Panasonic though.

What about a two computer setup?

Big monitor on main windows 7 computer.

Second smaller monitor on a linux computer. I find it helpful to lookup web pages and such when trying to find help. Or when storing information in a spreadsheet for trade runs, etc.

It is possible to put teamspeak or something on a second linux machine?

I am sorry if I am beyond the topic of your original post, but it got me thinking.

Being a fan of both flight and racing sim I used to run a three monitor setup, however, a few months back I switched over to 4k in combination with track ir.

While the increased resolution is amazing, I do still miss my three monitor setup in some instances. With the three monitor setup you tend to rely more on peripheral vision than you realise at the time, it is only when that is removed, that you note its absence. It is especially obvious in racing sims where I no longer see cars drawing level out of the "corner of my eye", and I now have to rely on turning my head to shift the pov in game

In my 4 monitor setup I have the 4th (accessory monitor) tied to both pc's and my keyboard/mouse extended over network to both pc's so I just change input on the monitor for my server pc.

I use an Oculus Rift DK2, on my desk I have a Philips BDM4065UC 4k 40" LCD monitor, I've had a play with Elite on it and it does look amazing, but seriously RIFT!!!
