I know people have complained about lack of variants in animals. I too would like some variation as well but the size variation in some animals is a awesome feature. Instead of the normal every animal the same size you see in most games. Case in point I have a male Indian elephant at 83% and compared to his herd he is impressive.

I am also extremely pleased with this feature, especially as it also includes gradual growth.
The size gene is actually one I breed for the most. ^^ The animals just feel more impressive, when they are their maximum size. I like that feature a lot.
However, I feel fertility doesn't play a big enough role in the game. When you have research everything, you can get every animal to breed quite easily.

Tell that to my bongos. Male fertility of 16%, females almost as bad. Despite full research and 98% welfare, took 4 attempts before they successfully became pregnant.
I tried candlelight and romantic music but it didn't seem to help.

Well, but in the end it worked, right? Four times reallyisn't that bad. In reality, animals with such stats wouldn't breed at all I guess, or maybebe successful justonce in their lifetime and everybody would be surprised and celebrate.
