I have a hunch the OP was being sarcastic. Or at least that's my sincere hope....
This exploit is so severe some people went from 25 million to 1.6 billion credits in one day. Become a billionaire in a day lol. I don't mind people earning lots of credits per hour, but this is excessive.
Edit: if you can only enjoy this game if you earn 100 million credits per hour then the fault is either you or the game. In order to decrease the feeling of dull grind, the game needs more enjoyable missions and random encounters. I think there should be more avenues to make big money quickly, but not 100 million per hour for a player in a small ship.
It makes more sense for a player owned capital ship to make 100 million per hour, because the upkeep of a capital ship is higher too (maintenance, repairs, crew etc). The Fleet Carrier should be the first player owned capital ship.
if you make more credits than me, than its an exploit![]()
It's not an exploit though. An exploit is taking advantage of UNINTENDED gameplay. This is clearly intended. YOu can say the skimmer spawn rate needs checking, or you can say the rewards need reducing, or at least scaling with the security response of the base, but htis is not an 'exploit' in its normal definition. You could say a development oversight.

I don't get, what that would really add?Honestly more people who don't ever get the big ships probably leave the game.
FD just needs to release some more ships for us old players - Panther Clipper I'm looking at you.
All these folks getting shiny new Cutters, Corvettes and everything else is great for the long term health of the game.
They are spending real money on Paintjobs, the French chicks voice, Ship Kits ( 8 pounds a pop! ) and questionable Cmdr clothes.
These brave heroes are ensuring the future of the game with cold hard cash. I salute you.
The game is not about credits. It is about giving enough credits away so that as many players as possible goes to the online store and buys kits and paintjobs for their new hard earned virtual hardware.
KACHING!
"When ideas are worth what people pay for it in real gold."
Which is why genuine gameplay doesn't need vast amount of credits.
Cobra MKIII/DBX/Asp Exp/Vulture can do it all.
How is an oversight not, by definition, unintended?
No, nobody belives for a second Frontier meant for anybody to be able to earn a billion credits in a day considering other parts of the game require a lot more effort and skill and certainly don't pay near as much.
Yes, if Frontier didn't intend it, using it is an exploit.
An exploit in gaming is doing anything unintended and unwanted. That can be using a bug, using a loophole in the game mechanics or their implementation, using a balance oversight...
Now we can argue over the idea that people should be punished or not, but there is no question taking those skimmer missions is exploiting. The game's mission generation algorithm can obviously create unwanted edge cases, and this is one of them.
I think I know where this is going and I think it'll not be what people really want. The reason you can make billions on these missions isn't because the rewards are too high, it's just because people found places with good RNG. Frontier probably won't wipe these systems off the map so the more likely outcome will be an extreme reduction in rewards from individual missions. This will solve the problem as stacking 20 missions worth 500k each still isn't good money. However what happens then to the individual missions that we all once took in regular systems. Nerfed, nerfed so hard that they are total untouchable garbage. No player ever once again takes these missions and no further investment is made by FDev into ground based content. So tell me then, why do I own Horizons if there is no reason to actually land on a planet?
I expect the required amount of skimmers to kill will increase by a decent amount. Or at least it will scale higher. They cant just obliterate the pay of the intended method of completing these missions. That would hurt people who didn't even break Frontier's rule.
Possibly but then you'd end up having to log out/in to get the required amount to spawn in most locations which then is a touch exploitative. Now if they could reliably make 15-20 skimmers, stingers, guardians and maybe a goliath to spawn then we'd be talking. Complaints of it being too hard and the SRV not being up to the task. Suddenly we get a space tank, I like everything that just got said. Yeah ban the exploit, nerf everything, buff skimmers and instakill turrets![]()
