Skip launcher

If there's one thing I hate it's useless launchers. Its only purpose is for me to click Play to confirm that yes, I did indeed want to play the game. Would like an option, or even a command line switch, to skip it altogether and jump straight into the game. It tries to act like some sort of portal, but I don't really see why anyone would or should use it over the website directly or the game itself. I know there's a hack to skip the launcher by getting an access token and passing it as a command line switch, but that never worked very well for me, ceasing to work after not too long.

And while on the topic, what is the point of the different game mode launch options? Why would I ever want to launch non Horizons? I've seen people suggesting to use it to get themselves unstuck from planets or something? But that's of course no reason for the option to exist. Why isn't Arena and Single player combat training not integrated into the main game?

The launcher is the thing that identifies the account you want to play with. If you have multiple accounts you can select those from the launcher.

Hmm. I am not troubled by the launch button. But i guess some easy fixes could be imagined:
  • Have a "consider launch to be pressed" parameter which can be added to the launchers shortcut.
  • Have a "launch automatically ofter the launcher is open for 10 seconds" option. (That timer would be necessary if somebody wants to stop the launch, switch account, go to options, etc. )

Not that i'd consider any of it to be high priority. But i guess having it would also not hurt.
