you can still see them if you move your camera around the galaxy map near the center, just pan back and forth and at a certain zoom range, you can see the cubes popping in and out as they render and de-render

You sure they aren't enormous Dyson cubes around the galactic core?

Yeah as soon as you get within a few kylies of the core this happens all the time.
At first you try and figure out whats going on but after a while you just accept that its a rendering issue.

Ahhh, I thought you guys meant that there were star cubes in the area, yeah I have seen those rendering cubes when I make my camara move very fast near and inside the core though that also happens to other kinds of stars.

Plotting a route 1k Ly at a time is an agonizing process.
I did my 5,200 Ly run to unlock Palin. That's as far as I've ever really wanted to go, and I didn't really WANT to do it, but was required for the unlock.
Maybe by 2.4 or 2.4.1 or 2.4.9 they'll give us better route-plotting, until then, I won't be terribly far out.

C'mon, at best you'll travel 1 kly every 10 mins.
Exploration is already lame and now i see this. Wish i wasn't on my first serious trip towards the core.
Exploration is one of the three (one of only three!) ranked professions and yet it seems they dont give a hoot about explorers/exploring.
One of the few things that's any good in this game is the beauty of the galaxy and now i see even that's up.
