This is going to sound dumb. I decided (finally) to buy Mostly Harmless. I like my "things" but I find it very difficult to read, so I decided to get the hardback (the "thing") and the audiobook. Audiobook I found but I can't seem find where to get the hardbook. I might have had linlks to sites but my hard drive failed. Anyone?

I'll be on from about 4/5pm on Saturday (unless my shift gets moved about) so I'm more than willing to go up against a (non-Imperial) capital ship.

Those of you who have met me in Yembo will know I have already bought my Lakon 7!! It was scary at first as I didn't figure on mass being such an issue and had to blow pretty much all my credits on upgrades just to get it out of Shinrarta Dezhra!! The first 6 or 7 runs I did in Yembo I didn't have enough credits for insurance!! It was VERY scary... (thanks to Scotty for helping me out with a few spare bars of gold to give me a boost back to safe territory!)..

Anyways, Hishamelfar just gave me a sweet idea for a plan for tomorrow's stream.... How about we meet in Yembo and I'll do hauling in OPEN play... and the rest of you can act as bouncers and take on any pirates that interdict with me? I'm willing to play bait and take the risk of getting blown up or having to dump my cargo in open play (I'll go for a low value metal as it still counts in tonnage for the Yembo community goal) if we have some seriously tooled up bounty hunters to serve some justice on the player character pirates that are being drawn like bees to honey to the area? It might be quite funny to surprise the pirates with a big old bombardment of retribution... what do you think?

Of course I'll do my best for you tomorrow. So tomorrow afternoon I'll go and park my Type 6 and fetch my Viper!!!

I'm up for that! But I'll have to look up where it is. Just about to do a trading run of my own in my Type 6. After that, I'll swap to my Cobra and head for this "Yembo" place.

If you're willing to play bait, i'd be willing to load up on ammo ;) (I'm HishamElfar by the way on Twitter and Twitch.)

Alternatively, I'd be willing to risk my own Type 7 too if enough people wanted to ride posse! :D

I have two questions:

1) This community goal, do they just want any metal? If so, I'll buy some when I get near rather than reduce my jump range when I'm starting 150 LY away!

2) If someone is interdicted and you want to help them, how do you get to where they are?

1. Yes. There are several systems quite close that have metal too. This is a big community effort. We're talking 1000s of tonnes. So get ready to go back and forth.
2. I haven't done this myself yet, but I believe you can target their fsd drop from super cruise and drop into the same location. From what I've seen (from "flight assist off" on youtube) it's quite tricky as your minimum speed is 30000ms/s

Thanks. 1) I'm sure I can help with that, even if it's only 40t per trip! 2) Might be very tricky with my (lack of) controls but I'll see what I can do.

MIA : Commander Festicles Fuzz

CMDR Festicles Fuzz apologises for missing the last couple of adventures(streams) and will probably miss the next few as well due to a slight accident.

He was cleaning his port cargo deck, mopping up some Azure Milk that had leaked from a faulty grav-barrel, when he slipped and fell. His reflexs, still slowed from a lengthy cargo run, were not enough to save him. Arms flailing wildly, he hit the ground and a sickening snap was heard echoing around the chamber. A quick trip to one of the Med-Clinics on Slough Orbital confirmed the horrible news.. a broken hand.. a broken RIGHT hand (a spiral fracture of the 3rd Metacarpal bone to be exact). With his pilot credentials medically suspended for 6-12 weeks, he was last seen headed towards the nearest bar to drown his sorrows.

Evil Juice for everyone...



Sorry Kate - gonna miss Gameblast 15 too :(

I'm doubtful that I'll make it in time as well <sigh> Luckily the greatness of my piloting skills means I won't be missed. In fact I think Kate is probably safer if I don't manage to get back early.

Will this operation employ the use of "Wings"? How does "Wings" work?

It doesn't work yet. Wings is the upcoming next stage of beta testing, version 1.2, scheduled for the start of March and likely to be released to retail galaxy a week later, assuming 1.1 beta is any guide to timing.
So full details are unclear until then, though it's billed as a co-op and comms overhaul. Also a new Fer De Lance ship pretty definitely and another, possibly a big Federal Corvette or a medium/heavy fighter.

So how does this work then? Do we just follow Kate through SuperCruise and interdict any nefarious types who look like they're about to inderdict her?
