I'm actually hoping by this time next year, not only can you trade/drop boosts or crafting mats but also give perks for specializing. I could see a new DW trip next year then with wings dedicated to gathering minerals, wings making gear and boosts, and wings focusing on spreading them out.
The other reason I'm not willing to join up now is because I did this without any repair units. Realized after the first couple kly and didn't want to turn back. Lucky so far.
