Small balanced tweaks for the Vulture please!

I think the vultrue needs a small balance change in regards to its optional modules

I think the number of modules are perfect for a more dedicated fighter and don't want more modules.

But I think the sizes need a little tweaking.

Basically I think one of the size 1 modules should be changed to a size 3.

It would be nice to have a slot for a size 3 fuel scoop or a limpet control module or 8 units of cargo space. It would make the vulture a little more versatile, but still not in the range of cobra 3 or viper mk IV.

As a balance option I would suggest decreasing the size of the module 4 slot to an additional 3 slot.

The vulture would the have a slot for planetary landings

One size 1 slot
One size 2 slot
Two size 3 slots
One size 5 slot (for that good fighter shield)
And the military slot which shouldn't be touched.

The size 4 module slot is kind of redundant. The shield is almost always a size 5 in most builds.
A size 4 fuel scoop is overkill and a size 2 fuel scoop is takes too long time per jump to be worth playing.

It would be nice to have two size 3 instead of a size 1 and 4

Ohh and could we get a bit mor juice from the powerplant please - I can't seem to power my coffemachine with hardpoints deployed?
 
Single time bump (sorry) now that FDevs are at work again.
Really need that space and power for the coffeemaker

Engineering your Powerplant will help with your power issues, but the reason it is there is it is it's only real weakness.
Regarding the internals, I disagree. I don't have a fuel scoop on mine, and fill the slots with MRPs or HRPs. Others will use shield cell banks too. I think it is fine as it is.

And the Vulture is my combat ship of choice.
 
Even with a good roll the power plant is still insufficient to drive an otherwise non engineered A rated ship. The powerplant is simply underpowered. Prioritising helps but...

@ Max Factor: thank you for your imput, I want to show an example of how a Size 3+3 is better than what we have now:
two size 3 slots would net you (260+260) 520 base integrity if you used them for extra hull plating compared to a size 4 and 1 (330+110) 440 integrity.

I believe that a size 3+3 instead of a 1+4 in most instances would be marginally (not gamebreaking) better, while also adding much more versatile loadout options.

If you normally use shield banks in the 4 slot you could upgrade to the military size 5 slot instead and use two 3 slots. You would have better shielding options and your hull would still remain basically the same.
