Small Map

Hey there first of fall i want to say how beautiful this game is all the details are just incredible .... BUT .. One thing that i am really worried about is the size of the map. It reminds me exactly the same map in sim city and we know what happened to sim city right now :s so is there any news about that ??(And i know that it is an early alpha but i am not sure they ll make the size of the map much bigger ) Like honnestly to build a medium theme park we should at least have 9 tiles and not one ( in less than one day i filled all the space) :s or at least giving the choice to have the size that we want . Dont hesitate to share your thought

bro, this has been talked about a bunch, they are hoping to have it 4-5 times bigger, i think they said it was 20% or so of the final planned size

I ve never heard that info. Thanks for sharing it here. Indeed 4 5 times bigger its better than nothing i hope they ll give us the choice to go even further than that . In rct 3 i remember tht we were able in the scenario mode to expand a lot lot ..

+1 bigger maps!
Even unlimited maps if possible.
Make it so it depends on the user's RAM and vRAM.

They should make it bigger than RCT3. RCT3 maximum size is 254 x 254 squares. Maybe 508 this time? That's 254 + 254 = 508. Then we can build huge parks the size of Walt Disney World and Cedar Point. To put it this way, it should be like 4 RCT3 maps put together for Planet Coaster's maximum park size. That would be good.

I was thinking when I saw the pictures that the map was small, then I started building a park in a sandbox map... I think even right now its actually pretty decent, Gotta use your land really carefully and stuff, I love it!

Agreed. The map already is bigger than it seems.

Also, has anyone noticed that there is clearly another "border" to the maps that is further out. That additional area can clearly be built in and terraformed since some of the maps already even have placed structures out there. I think this is a hint of something to come.

Actually did you try zomming out. Or loading the pre made park. I think we only have a cess to the center piece. If you look closely at the texture, you will see a border of the map actual size.

This is speculation but I think the map might be up to 9x bigger. We got the middle grid to start with.

I tried already zooming out but I did not notice what you are saying .... I will check this again.
