Yes, missed the meetup again... .

Some nice backdrop (in theory), though: the Milky Way and a Ring.

Waypoint 7:
(And yes, I missed that meetup again, too. But the scenery did impress me, anyway.)

Let's go explore:

A bit dark, bit the sky...

Somehow, this picture looks to me as if it could have been taken on Earth just as well:

Anyway: could not go back to my ship directly (to steep, to much ice), so I was looking about an hour for a way around; had to go quite a long way and approach my ship from above:

Waypoint 8:
Some wreckage at the Waypoint:

An Imperial Courier facing of with my Eagle.
A bit odd that the Hull-mass of the Courier is only 35 tons as opposed to the 50 tons of my Eagle...

From left to right: an Imperial Courier, a Hauler, an Eagal, a Viper Mk.IV and a Curious Fish. ;)

And with this closeup, my Small World's Expedition ends:

It has been fun; thanks again to all those who organised this event! :D

Would have joined but a tumor in my back is what stopped me at Sagittarius A* with the Distant World's expedition, hope I make the next run though.

Best of wishes on your recovery! We will be back next year for another round of small worlds, and about to introduce our upcoming expedition this week, so keep an eye out if you're looking to join us on another fun one!

I must be the worst explorer. Even these 600 ly places are too far for me!

So proud to have found my first Water World in the Pleaides!

Back in June before I joined Crab Nebula Expedition the most I had ever explored was Betelgeuse, and making my way to Maia.
Yep. That was exploring for me. So much so, that I even took an AFMU with me in case I took damage haha!

With the high range ships of today, "exploration" at distance is much more easy! The hard part, is keeping interest.

But that's what's fun about large group expeditions. You get to make friends, hang out and actual chat with random people. Good times are always had; no matter the distance from Sol.
