CQC is nothing at all like PVP in game, it's a separate game within a game altogether.

Also nothing they did to AA or vice-versa was anything close to griefing. I'm sure AA would agree that PVPing in Open is perfectly fine and not griefing whatsoever.

You are right..CQC is not the same as ingame battle..it was not meant to be...but the premise is the same..we have a hull/sheilds/guns/pips....and we are tasked to kill other players with those tools...to me its the purest form of pvp you can find in this game.

Come on over to CQC...Ive been hanging out there almost every night recently and will continue.
Im REALLY interested on what you guys can do in a smaller battle, more of a one on one type of thing.
Dont come teamed...just come by yourself....can you bad guys take the challenge?
I play Team Death match mostly because its seems the funnest mode...but I play solo, non winged.
Put up or shut up...I challenge you bad guys or you guys that think youre bad!

I'll give some of them crap, because that's how I am with people who can kick my ass all over the place, but the fact is, they tend to have some very excellent combat pilots, both CQC and outside of it.

I enjoy PvP, and I've not seen many players in any of the groups that do PvP who couldn't kick my ass without looking, and I'm not exactly a nub, but I do know my place in the food chain, they are all above me, and I respect their skills, even though I might give some of them flack.

Possibly, but only in CQC, as the mechanics, while they SEEM the same, aren't the same at all due to the differences in ships between CQC and Open. I enjoy flying those little death traps around in CQC, but there's no way in hell I want to use them for PvP in Open, give me a Clipper or FDL or FAS...but I've always been more of the big tanky assault guy than the little sneaky type

My perception is this...war is war...it can be fought with tanks, planes and ships...just as in ED...different ships for different purposes.

But in CQC, it to me is more like giving you a choice of handguns and putting you in a garage with other guys/gals with handguns....and may the best pilot win.

Vyrsai, ok, the forum is what is, blame me. I didn't know I neede Elite rank in humour before posting. May this just be a language issue as English is not my native language, I don't know, but telling me 'you are wrong' and 'what not to do' without telling me 'what to do' is not going to help here.

I'm not against anyone, but I've spent the last week in lhs 3447 and eravate waiting to see if someone needs help against SDC. Also being Empire-ish while staying there is a pain due to constant NPC interdictions.. so yeah, I know who are the good and the bad guys here. is there anything else I can do to stop making a quote loop here?

The other group you are referring to was TOC, but it was only a wing myself included, nonetheless, you guys were outnumbered by AA and still put up a great fight and managed to still get some kills. That being said, AA is one of the most organized and well trained group out there. Kind of remind me of my day job when I'm flying with them, teamwork, communication and great leadership is the key to victory. SSgt Hernandez US Marines.

Actually, they never advertise the criminal/loser's head in combat for that reason. Nothing says "RESPECT ME" better than a head on a spike outside your front door.

As someone with zero PvP experience in this game, I have to ask; are SDC really really bad at it, as they appear in the vid, or were they genuinely just being live targets (which seems kinda out of character for them)?

I think it's a mix of both SDC getting a little bit worse and other people getting a lot better. We (SDC) have been getting a lot of new influx of members or people just wanting to fly with us since the you-know-what incident, and AA looks to be in really really good shape nowadays which is really great!.

SDC are definitely a formidable opponent and Adle's Armada flies with a watchful eye whenever they are spotted.

We also suffered losses on our side (at least 1 Python and 1 FDL) - but of course we'll showcase good kills in our videos

In the end it's about having fun.

i think it mostly stems from the SDC hate circlejerk. PvP video made showcasing kills (like every pvp video ever) and it's a kill comp of us so people are like, LOL SDC SO BAD LOL.
